  1. As far as I know, you cannot program a key to be the master w/o having another master key on hand. But that doesn't mean it can't be done :-) unforutnately you CANNOT program additional keys without the master. WHY, ths will keep people like valets from trying to copy a key program to steal it later. its commonsense. so dont give out your master when you valet. i can program any lexus key in less than 25 seconds.
  2. i will help but need more info, what instructions are you using? before you reply, get the working key and insert it into the ignition. watch the security light. how fast does the light turn off. if .5 sec delay or goes out immediate.
  3. the only way to lift the rear is to remove te cap at the base
  4. your daytime running lights are from the highbeam bulbs. look closely if you dont believe me. so for daytime driving your vehicle turns on a relay that cuts the power to hibeam in half. when highbeams are used the relay turns off and full power is restores making highbeam full bright. driving lights are hid theres no carmaker that offers hid highbeam
  5. your power supply is the problem. first check all fuses second, take out the clock and test the voltage. theres three wires to the clock. 1 ground, 2 constant 12v b+, and 3 is ACC power-power when key ON
  6. theres two problems when buying keys online. 1. you will have to reprogram the remotes but all lexus keys are not universal. meaning that a 2001 ls remote will not work with 2001 rx remote. even a 2001 rx remote will not be the same as 2002 remote. so dontbe fooled by the appearance of the fobs. a good way to tell is to ask lexus parts to provide you with the remote part number. then match it up to yours. 2. once you get the correct remote you will need to program it (i may be able to help) 3. the biggest problem is that your immobolozer system would also need programming. meaning that your vehicle will not start with the new key. the chip is imbedded in the remote, not theshank good luck
  7. this is a known issue. the lexus dealer should have tsib on how to fix.
  8. lexus dealers have switches. you will need some paperwork signed to release dealer liability.
  9. dont jump to conclusions by buying parts. doing some simple diagnostics will sace you time and money. to diagnose door lock operation, check the following: 1. can you unlock the driver door from the master switch 2. try the same from the passenger switch 3. use the key in passenger door. do all doors unlock 4. use key in driver door. do all doors unlock 5. unlock with remote. which door unlocks answer if you answered yes to any above then the door actuator/motor is fine. send me your answer to all above and i will try to pinpoit the source of your problem

    >>have the technician contact the LEXUS TAS Hotline ....just out of curiosity. What does TAS stand for? Is this a hotline only for Lexus technicians? TAS stands for Technical Assistance System. This is the number Lexus technicans call to get technical advise (factory support). The rear door failure will not set a fault code. If you cant get the dealer to believe you, get the rear door to fail and dont disturb it. The power rear door will not work till its manually raised and lowered. That way you can make them eat their words. Good luck!

    Rx330

Good news RX 330 owners. Lexus has a fix to address your Rear Power Hatch Inop Blues. Theres a new part that will take care of this. Its called the Power Rear Door ECU P/N 89222-0E011 (Previous part was 89222-0E010). Call before you take your vehicle in and tell the service writer to order you the ECU. If they dont know what you are talking about, have the technician contact the LEXUS TAS Hotline. Hope this helps! Sorry for the inconvenience!
