Has anyone here ever done this and were you pleased with the result?

Fairly new owner of a CPO 2004 Rx330. Wondering for those who have the factory rear dvd player have you had success in playing DVD's in the plus or minus format? Mine seems to be rejecting at least the plus format that were recorded in super long play mode. Wondering if it's the mode they were recorded in or whether burned DVD's just won't play. Haven't tried the DVD-R yet. I have no trouble with store bought DVD's playing though. Anyone???
