Just a thought, did you happen to access your glove box and accidentally push the valet trunk cutoff switch? thank you!! that was it, must have hit it by accident!

So I went to open my trunk this morning with my key in my pocket and nothing happened...it didn't budge. I took the key fob out of my pocket and pushed the trunk release button...still nothing....opened the drivers door and hit the trunk release button...still nothing. Doesn't matter if the car is on or off...key fob and all other releases are working fine otherwise. Anyone had this happen or know what the deal is? I have some stuff in my trunk I need to get out!! Thanks!

it started about a week ago and I am not touching the steering wheel control... I was actually just out and when I got into the car the radio was on a different station than what it was when I turned the car off...Im thinking its prob a circuit or something...

Does this happen when the car is on ACC when the radio is on ? It happens when Im driving

So this is a little strange but for about the last week (it has probably happened about 6-7 times)...my radio will change by itself, but only to the very next channel. For instance, if the radio is on 106.5 it will change to 106.7 and be all static or if it on 93.1 it will turn to 93.3 and be static. I am not hitting or touching ANY thing when this happens. At first I thought the ASL setting was on, but it was not, and then I thought it was happening when I went over bumps, but it has also happening on smooth surfaces. Does anyone have any clue what this is or has had the same thing happen?

DEFINITELY get the brake pads changed, it makes a HUGE difference! I also got them to change the backlight on my speedometer which was set to come on at 60...it annoyed me for some reason, so now it comes on at 80 (when I should probably be warned about my speed : )

It is $560 for the 250, so I would assume about the same for the 350

It's a 'Technical Service Bulletin' or more correctly a TSIB which is a 'Technical Service Information Bulletin' issued by Lexus, usually in response to customer or dealer complaints, but also from Lexus themselves if they discover a manufacturing problem that affects cars already sold. The Brake Pad TSIB described the corrective actions necessary to replace the original high friction pads that generated so much dust with a set based on a ceramic material Part# 04465-53030. There's a listing on the site of all the TSIB's covering trim rattles, fuel pipe recall, rubber mat replacement, seat belt changeout, engine rattles from cold etc. etc. Three-week owner of an 08 IS250 AWD. I do get a lot of dust on the fronts. Should I wait until the 1,000 to get this done? Any other things I should have they fix at 1,000? Thanks guys. This site is awesome.

I have the same bug problem...my IS is Starfire pearl and bugs swarm on/around it all the time....no clue what it is, bit Im kinda glad Im not the only one with this issue :)

My step dad who I already feel is a POS BACKED into my 2 month old LEXUS in his driveway today!!! I want to kill him! I prob need a new front bumper!!! Does anyone know any good body shops in the Baltimore area...or if it is wise to take it to the dealership? Thanks

Are the clear plastic pieces in front of the rear tires supposed to be removed...or do they serve some purpose. I have had my car for about 2 months and only really notice them when I'm washing it, but then forget about them. Thanks!

My car is normally garaged, but whenever I am parked somewhere else outside, TONS of flies and other random insects FLOCK on and around my car! It sounds bizarre but it happens ALL the time. It's nasty. If I am washing it in the driveway, without fail there are always little black insects crawling on it. I'm not sure if its the color (starfire pearl), or the Lexus paint itself, or just my car! Does anyone else have this issue?

I was wondering what kind of gas I should put in my new IS 250. The sales guy told me that it will run on 87...but they "recommend" 93...any thoughts?

I just bought mine on Saturday and the mileage was 24, it was driven over from a different dealership...I have always heard under 45 is about normal
