  1. Here's something I just stumbled upon that might be a solution: NAV Speed Pulse Generator http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Unlock-2004...sspagenameZWD4V Personally, I'm a little reluctant to install this nav-unlocking device in my SC430. However, the seller has a 99.6% positive Ebay seller rating and lots of favorable feedback from buyers of this device. If anyone has had any experience with this gizmo, please post.
  2. Try these recommended solutions: Wikihow.com: How to Override Lexus Navigation Motion Lock Hackzine.com: How to disable Lexus and Prius navigation lockout HowToHandyman.com: How to Override Lexus Navigation Motion Lock Technorati.com (VIDEO): Lexus and Toyota Nav System Service Menu with GPS Override Hope the info is helpful.
  3. I am replacing the original Bridgestone Potenza run-flat tires (245/40/18) on my newly acquired SC430 with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. Rather than prematurely retiring them to an environmentally unfriendly tire heap or finding them on Ebay, I'd prefer to give them to someone who will use and enjoy them, free of charge. I would estimate that they've got about 70-80% of their original tread life remaining. However, one of the four tires has a protruding rim bead, so I would not recommend that it be reused unless approved for reinstallation by a competent tire specialist. The other three tires are in great shape. Had I not noticed that one of the tires was flawed, I'd have gladly kept these tires. They ride and handle beautifully ... far better, in fact, than I had expected. If you live in South Florida and are willing to meet me at the Aventura Mall Sears in northeast Miami-Dade County when the tires are removed, please post your contact information in this thread and I'll contact you. My new tires are on backorder, so it'll likely be about 2-3 weeks before they arrive. Safe driving,
  4. Hi guys ... I've read the tire threads and you've convinced me. I've decided to replace the original Bridgestone Potenza run-flats on my newly acquired '02 SC430 (11k miles) with high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport tires. They seem to be the consensus choice for pairing roadworthy performance with strong, predictable tread life. Problem is, I'm not sure which of the Pilot Sport tire models will best suit the car. Aside from the A/S (all season) model, which isn't of much practical value in tropical Miami, there are several different models and tread styles in the Pilot Sport line for the SC's recommended 245/40ZR18 tire size. The obvious question becomes, which tire/model is best suited for my SC430? Michelin Pilot Sport http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...20070921x00003a Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 1. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...%2F40zr18+pilot 2. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...%2F40zr18+pilot 3. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...%2F40zr18+pilot 4. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...%2F40zr18+pilot 5. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...%2F40zr18+pilot If you've had hands-on experience with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, I would appreciate your suggestions and recommendations on which model to buy. Thanks. FOOTNOTE: If you live in South Florida and would like to have the Bridgestone Potenza run-flats which are currently on my car, they're yours. Free. Remarkably, they appear to have about 80% of their original tread. However, please keep in mind that they're more than 5 years old. If you'd like to have the tires and are willing to meet me at Sears or Costco in northeast Miami-Dade County when they are removed, please post your contact information in this thread and I'll contact you.
