  1. No, the override does not work with 7.1. I was going to try and burn hybrid 4.1/7.1 and 5.1/7.1 disks and try both. Will keep you posted. You are confusing two different things. 7.1, 6.1, 5.1 etc. are map versions and not hardware versions of the Navigation system. Which system you have depends upon the year model. Current 08 models are using generation 5.5 or 5. A generation 4 nav system can be overridden but a gen 5 or newer can not. A gen 3 did not have the override but a gen 2 system would override if you went to the overview screen and pulled the data up 3 times.
  2. Thank you so much. I had almost given up. Don't know how you figured it out but...thanks! PS I'm Birmingham, AL also. Mtn. Brook. Have a great day. I'm the product specialist for Tom Williams Lexus and I am an RX400h owner as well.
  3. If your Palm is a 700 series this will probably work. If it is not you will not be able to connect your Palm. Pair your Palm just as you have been doing. When your Palm says that is connected but the car doesn't show that it is connected simply dial a number from your Palm. The system will then recognize the connection and the Palm with be connected and you will have the call come through the sound system. Then stop and restart the car to verify that it is making the connection at start up. Be sure that you have made your Palm visible and trusted. I hope this helps. Please post a reply of your experience.
