check low pressure sensor, i went through the same thing a bit ago, and it didnt take very much refrigerant to overcome sensor. Just a few ounces got it working.

amp work? tapedeck?

are the front foglites and brackets intact? Are they the square glass foglite, or the projector style like the headlites? I need the square ones with the brackets.

like most o2 systems, the upstream 02's tell the computer how the engine is running, while the downstream one tells the computer if the converter is working or not.

the amp is sitting under the passenger seat and i guess, is susceptible to moisture ie. rain and what coming in the window or open door.

looking at the wifes today again to try to figure something out

is the compressor kicking in at all? How do you know there is freon in it? My AC would come on, but the compressor would not run, I added a half a can of 134 and it works now. Just needed a little boost.

I have a 92 sc 400, and I am wondering what that black knob on the tranny humb on the passenger side is for.(?)

are the needles on a 92 sc400 the same as the needles on the early es300's?

104 octane boost, one bottle to a tank, helps alot.

the wifes 95 es300 does not have any sound coming from the rear. I took a quick peek at the amp, but didnt see anything too obvious. Is this a problem related to the 300? Is it common to the amp? or the head unit? I also have 2 12 disc changers , both are not working properly, one sits and just cycles through the slots, and one plays a couple words, then go into an error. Is there anyone that you know of on the net, that is reasonable and has a good rep for repair issues? thanks Tom

a month or so ago, bought the wife a '95 ES 300, 130,000 miles. had to replace rear struts right away, fix a small rust spot on top of windshield, probably due to amature install, a few parking lot dings, still looks good, white with tan interior. fog lites dead from road hash. Interior in great shape. just no rear output from stereo system. amp looks good, but that dont mean much. $4500

I am actually thinking about getting the drilled and slotted discs that are on sale on Ebay for $179, and that includes the pads, doesnt seem to bad a price.

getting to be almost a handfull of us who bought '92 SC400's very recently. I have heard the break noise, but i was putting that off to repolishing the discs, since mine had sat for awhile in a police impound before i bought it.

on the tire it says it is all-season rated.

I am riding on Sendel 18" rims, with Kumho 245/40/18 tires

Are the radios in the 92 sc400 swappable? Say take out the pioneer and install the Nakamichi radio? same with the amps?

well removed the amp from trunk area cleaned off the corrosion with some cleaner, resealed it. (been in electronics my whole life, so I have some of this stuff lying around) reinstalled, and everything is working. Well except the cd player, sound scratchy, and skips . I suppose being in the trunk for all these years, who would want to work.

this just happened to me, drive through touchless carwash, then no radio, well I had radio, but only the low end, bass. If I keep turning it off and on, occasionally i will get the whole thing for a few seconds, then I lose the high end again, with the low end only making anysound. Did you end up replacing the radio, the amp or both? if you had a CD player, did you end replacing that too?

I have the same issue. did you resolve your issue? My radio just started the same thing.
