  1. drain system?! just crack a line connection loose, wear gloves, cost=0$ what were your high and low pressures? All it takes is half a can of r134 to go from warm air to cold ac air, and there is not much pressure difference, but when its cold its cold.
  2. i am saving up for this. just to let u know, but nickel and dimes take a while.
  3. I sprayed a cleaner under the hood, when i went to spray it off , I now have a trac lite on and the engine lite on. i cant turn the trac lite on or off with the switch. it starts but runs on like only half the engine, when i get it revved up the other half starts to kick in, but drops off when the revs drop. i pulled the coil wire off the drivers side coil, it sparks right to ground with a decent spark, but when i put the coil wire back on, no change. Where could have moisture gotten into? thanks for your help. Tom ps i cleaned up the wifes engine compartment first (95 es300) with not one problem.
  4. i had to replace a couple pad holders, when i put in new brakes, the kits was like $13 bucks from NAPA, had same problem. Also check to make sure the little V springs are on top of the pads.
  5. just looked, they must be supporting some drug habit, damn high prices even for door or trunk lites.
  6. is the honeycomb in the MAS necesarry? ( i dont see why) i would like to remove it before i put on a different filter
  7. i have 2 that need work, i will give one, to get one back working.
  8. http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/parts_det...16337&all=Y This is a good price.
  9. You will need the two O2 sensors up front for the ECM, no getting around this. But you can use simulators to pretend to be the back two sensors, all they do is tell the ecm that the cats are working.
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=230256092447 a lot cheaper
  11. also see if the connection just needs to be snugged up a bit. There is refrigerant that has dye in it also, uv type comes to mine, just use a black lite to see it.
  12. I am in a town of 1200, and yes i know the deputies too, and the sheriff.
  13. Hello Isaac, I am in ND, so the cats are 'optional here too'. LOL You need to keep the front sensors, they are for the 'puter(ECM) to see how the engine is running. http://www.o2simulator.com/index.php?main_...;products_id=10 I have used these on my Dodge Ram to tell the 'puter the cats are ok, even though there are none now. Talk about waking up a pickup truck. I am thinking of getting rid of them also, sometime down the road. Got to love the ag states with no testing.
  14. you are not going to hurt anything for trying, freeze 12 is a drop in replacement for r12.
  15. would like to replace the torn boots on the car. would like to know where i can buy them, thank you.
  16. I had my rotors turned and put on new pads a month or so ago. It is now into the rainy season these days, and i notice that the rotors rust up real fast, overnite in fact, even with only high humidity. These are factory rotors, which are in good shape, which is why I had them turned. Just wondering if this is something out of the norm or not.
  17. my 92 is a 134 conversion and the air gets cold. Cant ask for more than that.
  18. the hissing is from your expansion valve, normally that shouldnt be a prob. (expansion valves have been know to wear out in general, but rare.) you just might need a small amount of freon in your system. There might be enough to get the system running, but not enough to get the pressure up to snuff for the expansion valve to work, this is the item that helps cause the heat absorbsion from your car to give you cold air. It causes freon to go from a liquid to a gaseous state, in this state is can absorb heat.
  19. has the exhaust shield broke lose, and is hitting on the sway bar itself? mine rusted lose, and this was one problem. Also try spraying the other rubber mounted parts with wd40 or silicone, to see if that makes it go away. Also see if the sway bar link is loose, or worn out.
  20. this is one of those, something so simple can have a big effect type things.
