Hi everyone I was on the interstate with my car in S mode and used the paddle shifter to down shift to 2nd gear. The transmission went all the way passed 6000 rpm but I'm not sure if it went into the red area. The red ring around the rpm guage did light up. Have I caused any damage to the car?

I took off the 250 from the back of the car and so then all it said was IS. Now I want to put the 250 back but lost the numbers. Where can I buy it

ya its all good although i have to use a pillow when i drive which looks kind of...uncool im just glad to be back in business where i can actually enjoy driving my car bc if you think about it theres not a better car than the IS. i mean everyone knows the three luxury vehicles are Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus (Acura never got much respect, audi is meh, porsche is good but not common and unreliable, etc). ok so if you break it down the BMW 1 series is well...the 1 series so nobody wants that. The 3 series is great except when its fully loaded it still has MUCH less than the IS fully loaded. The Mercedes C Class is ok but again even when fully loaded it has a lot less than the IS fully loaded. And both the 3 series and C Class are not as reliable as the IS. Now lets look at the GS...who wants such a big car? The IS is way sportier. The E Class...my friends moms drives those...totally uncool. And the 5 series...not sporty enough for my taste. So if you think about it, the only car I'd trade my IS in for is like an SL b/c those are just incredible but then again really expensive.

hey this helped a lot (i think i havent driven long distance yet) but it seems to be a lot better for my back although it DOES feel weird at first. im going to miss my lazy boy :-( and ya i get the spoiled brat thing a lot i think my service consultant treats me like one but i dont care im all about good friends and good times.

I also forgot to tell you that I shaved my balls before I left as well. What else would you like to know?

nah i'm only 5' 8" im going to write a letter to Lexus about this because I basically wasted 36,000 dollars on a car that i WANT to drive and enjoy but can't. i'm 20 so i don't want to trade it in for an RX or an ES b/c which college kid would look cool in one of those? anyone know the address for lexus? if not i'll find it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Have you found a solution? I'm really upset about this because it really is a problem for me because I drive for long distances relatively often and am just thnkng about trading it in for an RX if I can't resolve the issue.

I have no back problems. It never hurts. EXCEPT when I drive in my IS for an extended period of time (about an hour or more). I've tried every seat position, adjusted lumbar, nothing is working.

That's outrageous you should contact lexus and BASH them this is unacceptable
