Tried this topic in the rx330 forum but didn't get an answer there. Hope it's ok to ask the same question here. I would like to install an always-on 12V power socket in the glove compartment of my 2006 rx330. Would anyone know which wires to tap in the vicinity of the glove compartment? I read somewhere to use the blue-yellow and brown wires, but in my car the blue-yellow wire is only hot when the ignition is on.

After hours of Google searching I found a thread that said the blue wire with yellow stripe was always-on 12V, and the brown wire was ground. Tried this, but the blue wire is only on when the ignition is on. So I am back to square one. Would really appreciate help on this.

Has anyone installed an always on 12V power socket in the glove compartment? If so, which wires did you tap? The car is a 2006 RX330. Thanks!
