  1. thanks I didn't know it was so easy. after cutting tons of wires and soldering for way too long I decided that it wasn't worth messing up a plug and !Removed! the whole system I couldn't find anyone with the correct pinouts
  2. I've decided to wire where the cd changer goes into the head unit. just have to figure out how to remove the head unit
  3. Thats the guide I was originally following, but there isn't an amp under my passenger seat vent/carpeting. maybe there just isn't one?
  4. I've got a '93 LS 400 with the stock pioneer sound system, which to my knowledge has no easy cheap way to integrate an auxiliary jack e.g Ipod. I would like to splice into the cd wires that go to the amp, but I can't find where the amp is. I've looked under the cd changer, under the glove compartment, and under the passenger seat. any ideas? -fragman

  7. hello all, ive owned a 92' LS400 for about two years now. Suddenly today within 5 minutes, the car started to spudder at about 2000rpm and white smoke from under mid car started to come out. Later when i got home, i reved it to about 2500 rpm in the drive way. No way near the usual in terms of speed at which it reached rpms. after i shut it down and looked under the car, the exhaust were glowing a bright red-orange!! it was running at low rpms in neuteral for about 2 minutes!!. this is my dads car that he uses to get to work so do you guys have any suggestions?? thanks in advance, Steve
