  1. Thanks for your response. My stock cables work just fine. The stock bulbs and sockets don't fit in those tail lights. The cable and bulbs from the new tail lights are cut off so I can't even see if their plugs fit into mine because I don't have them. LOL A friend of mine posted at clublexus about it, everyone says the plugs will fit just fine between the 94 and 96, but I don't have the new bulbs/plugs and sockets. Is it possible to just buy these seperately without the tail light?
  2. I've recently purchased a new untorn tan leather seat for my car and it looks like the previous owner (he crashed his Lexus) left tires on his seats. These tires also tinted the leather and it looks like dye stains. A friend of mine with a Lexus told me to try Oxy Clean on my seats (mix with water- although you should be gentle with it or it may strip your leather if you use too much). Anyway, it took out most of my discoloration, but not all of it. I don't know how strong your dye is, but try it. I'll warn you, this stuff will really lighten up your seat so you're gonna have to use it on both seats. I used it with a scrub and my seats look brand new.
  3. Congrats on the new buy! You won't regret it, esp since youre gettin it at low miles- thats a good find
  4. Yo yo yo, So, I've recently purchased tail lights for very, very cheap, along with a lot of other parts that I needed for my 94 Sc. Anyway, the tail lights are 96. Problem is, I don't have their plugs. I have the wires and bulbs/bulb sockets, but the plug was cut off instead of disconnected. Is there anyway I can buy just the plug and bulbs/sockets? Even so, does this whole wired plug fit right into the 94 socket? Also, does this conversion go smooth? I realize the 94 bulbs and sockets are different than the 96 and won't work. If I remember correctly, there are 6 large bulbs on the 94 and 4 large + 3 small on the 96!!! I'm not sure if there is a conversion kit or if the plug just fits in. I've searched both these forums and clublexus but can only find that they fit and work fine???? Can someone clarify this for me? LOL I just dont understand how the 94 Lexus SCs computer can register changing 3 bulbs of turn signals into 1 for the 96 lights (if this supposedly works fine)??? If the conversion goes smooth... does anyone know how I can buy just the plug and bulb+bulb sockets??? I'm stuck with these lights unless I can figure something out. Please help! :(
  5. Hello everyone, I have a '94 SC400, had it since I was 16, bought it with my own money (so, no, I'm not spoiled), and everytime I have a problem I like to get all the opinions/advice that I can. Most of the work that is done on the vehicle is either by friends or myself. I am currently running on 283,562 miles! Yay! The car runs great, with occasional fixes here and there- although I can't wait until I hit 300,000 miles! Anyway, I have a power steering problem. This is probably the third time I'm having this problem. I'm leaking. The first time the vehicle leaked was in 2000, when my sister owned the car- she replaced the power steering pump in whole because Lexus recommended it. Then, in 2003/2004, there was a leak in one of the hoses with fluid in it that was evetually found and sealed off by a friend. Today, I was about to leave school, I started my car, heard a sound, almost like a crack- all of sudden, my wheel is turning hard during my ride home. And I'm *BLEEP*ed! LOL God! I realize my car is old and eventually it'll break down on me, but I have so much faith in this Lexus that it'll last me past college graduation! Now, I get home, notice fluid under the car and purchase some more PowerSteering(+leak) fluid at the local gas station and refill (it was pretty empty, but eventually filled up). However, normally, when I refill on a leak, results are instant and the steering wheel moves easy right away. Today, it was still moving hard. I'm assuming its the pump itself, but that was replaced couple years back by Lexus, brand new! Any ideas on self-fixes or what it could possibly be? Anything I can check out or try on my own? I really don't want to take it to Lexus ( I've noticed they just create more problems, esp since I'm a girl). Please help!
