  1. If you have/use the bluetooth phone interface, there is a TSB on the microphone/amp that we had done recently to correct a noise problem on outgoing audio. The number is EL007-07. If you have the noise problem, this fix does work, regardless of what the dealer says. We had to fight for over a year to get this fix done. Enjoy your car.
  2. We've been seriously considering trading for a new 350 convertible, but I've visited three dealers and have yet to get a straight answer about the navi in this car. There's nearly nothing online, so I am hoping someone here has a reliable source of info. The 2010 has hard drive based nav, I think. Is it possible to operate by means other than voice commands while the vehicle is in motion? Does it still have the region-based maps of previous generations? Is there any user-accessible space on the hard drive, as there is in the BMW 3 series? My wife much prefers the IS350 over the BMW 335Ci (which I really like), but after the unpleasant experience we've had with our RX350 nav, I'm having a difficult time convincing myself that the IS will be any better. Thanks for any input.
  3. Thank you guys I'm going to take this up with my service department when i see them again. Had the same lights come on twice on our 07 RX350 CPO. Turned out to be a faulty brake light switch. Lexus has a TSB on this I believe and it was covered by warranty. As for the navi reboot, I agree with the previous that this sounds like a fuse or other faulty electrical connection. May be tough to locate, especially if your dealer cannot reproduce the problem. If it weren't for the other useful features on the display screen, I'd say forget the lousy Lexus nav and get a Garmin. Good luck.
  4. This is my first post on this board. I've been lurking for a while. The factory NAV system is a non-starter for me. It's the most user-unfriendly thing I've ever seen. It's very expensive to buy and to update and you can do nothing to it while driving. I have two portable Garmin units and much perfer them to the factory system in my 07 RX350. If you can get past having the unit stuck to the windshield or sitting on the console, it's really a much better way to travel. As far as the ML audio, I am sure there are some excellent aftermarket systems available that will top it for far less money. Check the high-end audio stores in your area and you'll find what you need.
  5. I just got a new 09 rx and find the nav system extremely confusing. The CD with the car didn't really explain how to store and retrieve address, among other basics. I'd used Garmin before and found it very easy. Do you have any information to help? I didn't see replies to your email topic. Capguy I have the same opinion of the Nav in our '07 RX. We have two Garmins and I'd much rather use them than the onboard system (wife loves the rearview camera, though). We recently assked the dealer about an update and were told we should wait as there is a new update coming out that will be a major improvement (but of course it will about $250). I don't know what's in the update but I seriously doubt that it will be worth that price.
  6. We have a 2007 RX350 and the wife recently got a Blackberry Curve 8320 from T-Mobile. Everything works with the phone except the we have an issue with a high pitched whine that is transmitted over the phone when in a weak signal area (had the same problem with her Motorola Razr). The dealer refuses to help us resolve this problem, but the phone works fine.
  7. I installed the Lexus iPod adapter about a month ago on a 2007 RX 350 and it works great - I especially like the steering wheel controls and Nav system interface. It is true that you can have satellite or iPod but not both with the Lexus adapter, but since I don't use satellite radio it wasn't much of a sacrifice to go with the adapter. For more information on the iPod adapter, see http://www.lexus.com/models/RX/accessories...t_for_iPod.html "No image available..." Go figure. My first post here. Hello to all. Does the Lexus interface include a second aux input as does the Vaistech SLI? Is the Lexus interface actually a rebranded Vaistech?
