I like the idea of the 18's as well but I like filling that wheel wheel....idk...still thinking.
-
I didnt plan on it because I'm not havin any problems wit my 20's but they only 7.5" so I might have to....I did on my 328i. I had 9.5 on the rear but after I replaced the stocks with Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks I had not more problems. I found out some great news via eBay. LMAO! Check this out...I could go 19x8.5F and 19x9.5R so I know the 18's would fit also... Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-Lexus-...0259519432&

I understand. I think I will go Tein...either springs or coilovers and use the factory shocks. Also here are the specs for the wheels I want...What do you think from these? Option A)... 18x8.5 (2" lip) & 18x9.5 (3.5" lip) 35mm offset ...also have 18x8.5 (3.25" lip) if 9.5 cant go for staggered look Option B.) B)... 19x8.5 (2" lip) & 19x9.5 (3.5" lip) 35mm offset

OK...The wheel i want is in 18x8.5 and 18x9.5.... Will the 9.5 fit in the rear ? Im pretty sure the 8.5 in the front would fit nicely...or should it be 7.5? Also I dont have 1500 to blow on suspension so.......any other options. lol
-
I like that. Plus 18's are cheaper. :D What tire size did you have and what kind of suspension?
-
From your past experience and from seeing IS's in real life or pic...... What size option looks best? Not dropped...18 or 19?....which looks best ? Dropped 18 or 19?.....which looks best..? How many inches also..:) This is two seperate questions..... Thanks Post pics if you can with wheel size

Does anyone know where I can get a factory JDM TRD Front bumper? They have them in fiber glass but I want the plastic or whatever its made of LOL. Also prices..... I hate to replace the stock one because I just bought JDM clear fogs and the fogs for that TRD bumper are hella high!! But oh well...I guess I would have to make that sacrifice. But let me know please. Ohhh!!! Also the Black JDM Taillights :)) Other option: or a nice lip kit for the front...:)

Well its the "20 inch wheel" post in this forum. The wheels are in 5lug universal too. I dont know if I want 20's again or 19's. I cant find the weight of the wheels anywhere.

im Looking at getting 20's for my 01 is300 and it looks great on your car. just wanna make sure before i drop 2 grand on them that they dont rub ? and was there anything that had to be done for it not to rub????? I have not done any mods to the suspension and all interior is still in car. I just purchased the wheels and tires and put them on straight out the box. I only had the car for a month at the time you think 225/35/20 is going to fit o.k.? It may or may not have issues.. When you go up in number ie30,35,40,45 on the second set of numbers thats more sidewall. But its not much but every cm counts. :) 225/35 is 35% of 225. That number will be how tall the sidewall will be.

Will 18" Bmw M3 Factory Wheels Fit On A 2003 Is?
RLis300 replied to IndyKen's topic in 01 - 06 Lexus IS300
They will not fit..BMW is 5x120. -
If your system is discharged you wont get 12v. the line sensors will disable the system, you could momentarily jumper 12v to the compressor and see if it turns on, but make sure you go to the right side of the circuit, you dont want to jumper 12v to ground. Still could be a relay, not turning on do to loss of coolent. the dual pressure switch may be deffective or no coolent and telling the Engine Control modulue to shut 12v off to the compressor motor. :D THANK YOU :D THANK YOU!! :D I didnt know it had a sensor to disable the 12v to the compressor. The A/C has no freon in it so it make PERFECT sense. I'll go buy some from an autoparts store or jump it to see if that works. THANKS :D

Thanks but all the switches are functioning properly.. ........There is NO voltage reading at the compressor........

I want thhat front bumper but I cant find it anywhere. I think I'll just get a front lip to put on mine.
-
Nope. The actual comressor is not coming on and its not getting power......All connections are solid
-
Check fuses on both sides of car and under the hood...also checked the realys ...All of those are good.
-
Its connected. *There is no power at the AC compressor....I checked wit a volt meter
-
They are 5 lug universal

Where did you get those eyebrows?? interesting <_<

This one is kinds out there so here goes..... I'm an avid DIYer so shops are LAST RESORTS.. It's getting kinda hot so today I turn on my A/C and presto.....no cold air. I checked all my fuses..ok I checked the relays...ok I pressed the low and hi side of the a/c lines and nothing came out but my biggest concern... I got my volt meter and checked the wires to the a/c compressor....NO POWER What is this sh*t....its hot mayne!!! Any thoughts....Its hard to find solutions when you're upset
-
I wish you would have come sooner because I just traded my amber fogs for the clear. How much did you pay for your car?
-
I'm on stock suspension...no drop. I dont plan on drpping it but you never know. I like 19's but I was thinkin droppin it on 18"..... So you're super sure that I will have no problems in the front and no sticking out?? I hate that low rider look I will most likely go 19 tho...Here's a pic
-
Also the meaning behind me going from Honda to Lexus......WELL...When I got my 328I I intended on putting a turbo on it but I totaled it....plus it would have been expensive and the only good thing was the handling...I fould out that I could make a lot more power with the IS300. :):):) Less boost...more power...less work....Seemed like the right way to go.

Yes I have pics but I was kinda iffy about posting them on a Lexus/Toyota site. :) I built the motors myself and tuned them myself as well. I would like to put a T60 or T70 on the IS300 but I'm just doing research right now. I'm trying to remain stock as far as the engine goes...Sleeper Style too. I just did a post on 19's too because I wanna go wit some black wheels, so it'll be black on black on black on black...lol TINTING IT ALL...... I'll have to post pics later because they are on my portable HD at home.
