    Age?

34/Male. I'm still at my first job since high school working for an "upscale" supermarket in Southern California. :) However, with our Unions going in the wrong direction, I will be looking for something different next year.
  8. LOC member lexls has a grea website showing the differences between different generations of the LS. Here's the link: http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html
  9. Lexus Mission Viejo (California) is great. They've taken great car of me and my car. I request Melissa Myer as my service advisor - she's nice, honest, and easy to talk to. Up to this point, I've only had regular services performed, but each time has been a pleasant experience.
  10. '74 VW Bus - if you could drive this you could drive ANYTHING! '81 VW Rabbit Convertible - ugh. '91 Acura Integra - nice car! The first new car I had ever purchased. Got a speeding ticket on the way home from the dealer the day I bought it! :) '96 Maxima SE (w/ Stillen Package) - LOVED IT! I put 200k miles on it in the 9 years I owned it. I still miss it. '99 Lexus ES300 Coach - my first automatic, which took some getting used to as I had only driven an automatic twice before. Hands down the nicest car I've owned. '00 Lexus LS400 - my NEXT purchase...hopefully by the end of the year! :)
  11. Wow - nice work! Very impressive! :)
  12. Your car looks great! Enjoy it!
  13. You could have the lawyer call them. It might "scare" 'em a bit! :)
  14. As long as it's at 0 you don't have anything to worry about! Here's the moderator-posted link: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ic=5471&hl=warn
  15. Isn't that such a great feeling! I was so excited when I finally got mine! Have fun with it! :)
  16. Nice bike! Glad you decided to keep the Lexus! :)
  17. Chevron premium is running +/- $2.65 in the OC.
  18. I used Costco in 96 to purchase my Maxima. At the time it was nearly impossible to find a manual transmission anywhere in SoCal. I called and spoke with the saleswoman that was listed in the Costco directory, but she was unable to obtain the vehicle I wanted. However, she referred to me the fleet manager from a different company and I was able to get *almost* exactly what I wanted, sans the Bose system. It was an excellent experience and I got the car at just above the dealer's invoice price.
  19. Is it a brand new car? I wonder if someone (previous owner?) may have already registered with that VIN #? ...just a thought. <_<
  20. I drove the Volvo, Chrysler Pacifica, & Lexus RX back-to-back-to-back at a test drive event. After driving I put them in this order: Lexus Chrysler Volvo Since the Lexus isn't an option for your wife, then I would go with the Pacifa. It's roomy, comfortable, and easy to drive. Let us know what she ends up with! :)
  21. My 99 ES does the same thing until the engine is warmed up and the rpms drop to about 1K. After that, it shifts fine. Is this the same in your case? BILLK - did you notice your rpms prior to getting the throttle position sensor replaced? Did you have the problem all times of the day, or just when the car hadn't been driven in a while? I'm thinking my problem may be the sensor as well.
  22. A bottle probably lasts me a couple months. I usually wash my car once a week so it stays relatively clean.
