Hello, I am trying to find some empty space in my 2003 LX470 to put a large amp. I do not want to purchase a cheesy amp box or just have it sitting out. I would like the car to look factory but not sound factory. I have utilized the back of the middle seats but the amp I am looking to get is too big. The dimensions are 35 length, 12 width, and 3 deep. I was wondering if anyone knew a place that is hidden in the car that I could put an amp of this size. Everyone I talk to says the car is pretty packed but perhaps someone knows of a space where this amp would be able to fit. I was also thinking, perhaps, one could remove the carpet in the back cargo area and cut a hole for the amp to fit into. I am not sure if this gap is deep enough, if there is anything running in that area or if there are too many braces so it would not be possible. I was also thinking of creating a metal box and welding it under the car. Is there space for any of that? If anyone has any information on where I could put this amp it would be appreciated. The cargo area seems to be the best bet I'm just not sure what is under it. Please help

I was able to have it done at a store near my home called Auto Sound. I sat there the entire time as they did it I could probably tell you how to do it but I wouldnt want to be held responsible for anything. It only cost me 60 bucks to have done at the professional auto company and it only took 20 mins at the most.

I was wondering if anyone knows the sizes of the speakers that are for a 2003 Lx470 with a Mark Levinson sound system upgrade. I am looking to replace the speakers so if anyone knows how big the certain speakers are please inform me.

I have seen it done before. I want to find out how to steal the video feed from the factory DVD player that comes with a 2003 LX470 so it can play on the 2 rear headrest tvs in my car. If anyone knows how to steal these video feeds or can tell me how to do this it would be much appreciated.

that specifiic device does not allow that function you have requested. however i know that drbypass does make that device so i would send him and email through ebay and have him create a private auction. the removal of the dash console requres a phillips and a flathead screw driver wirecutters and some plyers. i did the entire removal and replacement in less than 20 mins the directions are very thurough so a monkey could do it.

My family has owned 7 Toyota/Lexus Land Crusiers/LX450/LX470 and have never had a problem like this. Currently we have a 2003 LX470 but considering that it is a 2002 you might be able to have warranty cover it. Best bet go to the dealer and show them what is happening. As long as there is no damage to the bumper they will probably call it defective and repaint it. The dealers are pretty accommodating so I dont see that it should be a problem.

i think that the parking brake must be on as well but im not sure mine has been overridden. anyhow when you hear the sound of the dvd you need to press the AUDIO key on the side of the screen. then you should see an option that says PICTURE and click on that the movie should start playing on the screen in the front. that should work if i does not i would take it into lexus

does anyone know how to get the interior paint for a 2003 LX470? it got scratched and i was wondering if there was anyway to touch it up. if so how and the color looks like it is a dull silver so i am open to ideas anyone help please

I was interested if you could tell me how they did this install because I have 2 headrest mounted TV's. Unlike you they have a separate DVD player and I wanted to tie the rear TV's into the factory DVD player. Please show me or tell me how this was done. It would be greatly appreciated if a step by step instruction would be given.

I was interested in finding out if a 2003 LX470 with a Mark Levinson sound system upgrades has an AUX input so I can connect my iPod directly to the stereo so there is no sound quality lost. Please let me know if this is possible and if it is how I would go about achieving this.

i wish there was some way that you could make it ride in high or low (pref low) while going over 19+ MPH does anyone know of any way to do this

so no one knows how to access a 2003 LX470 CD/DVD player in the armrest?

I have tried that but it wants to be in the neutral postition and it raises back up to neutral and then the suspension control goes off.

Does anyone know how to make a 2003 LX470 drive in the low position? I would decrease the give the car a cooler lower profile as well as decrease the chances of flipping. I'm sure that you are all aware if you go over something like 7mph the car will automatically raise and I just want to be able to keep it in low. Is this possible? If so how would I do it?

my car has all of those capabilities but i wanted to be able to watch the movie on the NAV screen and on my 2 tvs as well it would be nice to use the better sounds system to play the movies out loud.

I was really hoping to see somewhere that was for the CENTER console to acess the cd player because that is where it is located in my car.

How do you take apart the center console of a 2003 LX470 to acess the factory CD player/DVD player so I can find out if I can locate the input jack for my car sound system.

i realize that it would be illegal but more than anything it isnt for me it is for the person sitting next to me. All I want to know is how to make it work without buying any adapters.

I saw in a previous topic someone had tapped their rear head rest tvs into their factory installed CD player of their 03 LX470. I wanted to do the same so if someone could tell me how i would go about doing this it would be great.

I would also like to bypass this safety precaution. But I could not find any doctorbypass on ebay so I was hoping someone could provide a direct hyperlink to the area I could purchase this hacking device.
