When I start the engine cold in the morning it immediately revs to 2000 RPM's and stays ther for about 3 seconds than falls to about 1600.. Sounds very fast and hard on the engine (can hear lifters rattle for the first second or so..). Is this normal??

We are planning on purchasing a 2004 RX 330 FWD this Saturday. Anyone have any advice as to what to look for when checking it out? Any problems I should be aware of? Anything will help....(We had a RX 300 and loved it).

We had a 1999 RX 300 with factory towing package, and towed our 2000 lb 18 ft Fish and Ski no problem, at 70 miles per hour, on a 2800 mile trip in 90+ degree weather. Temp guage did not go up at all... Just make sure you tow it in 3rd gear instead of overdrive.... and the transmission fluid is in good shape... I changed it every 15,000 miles...
