  1. Thanks for the reply, I do understand the V vs T part for ride etc; I was hoping that someone could answer the question of, Is the suspension specifically tuned for V rated tires and anything less being a problem as I am being led to believe. CSM-H The original tires would have been "V" rated. If your looking for better ride and longer tread life a "T" rated might not be a bad idea. Typically the higher the speed rating the lower the tread life. Higher speed rated tires are "performance" tires and smooth ride is sacrificed for performance and handling.
  2. Hey to all, I am new to the board so forgive me if this has been asked before. I am getting new replacement tires for my 2002 GS300, which now has 225/55/16 Goodyear +4.... I want to change to a 225/60/16 for a higher sidewall and hopefully a softer ride. The question is a person at the place I am buying the tires noted that what I want is a "T" rated tire instead of a "V" and they seem to think the vehicle won't ride right. Comments.....thanks, CSM-H
