they were a option? i thought they came standard? they also were NEVER available for the high beams from the factory! i bought my kits off ebay from a guy named nissangtrpower (this is his ebay name u can search for him or try this link) his shipping is only a little high as your hid kits get 2nd day aired from japan to you! kits are great and with shipping will run u about 145 if u buy more than one he will cut u a deal if u ask him! check out his feedback! http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ2...Znissangtrpower i bought BOTH my kits for my 1993 es300 from him and when i bought the gs430 it turned out the same bulbs my es used work work for my fog lights and my high beams so i just swapped them over! he made me a great price on them as i actually ordered the 1st set then wanted a low kelvin (the lower the kelvin the brighter the hid) so i have 4300k in my fog lights and my high beams........my low beams factory i think are 8000k but i will eventually be changing the to the 4300k brian

yeah now i just gotta go pay them to do it! i hate the dealership! hell i was told by 6 dealers cbest didn't exist but another member showed me a link describing it in detail so im sure they might be able to do yours!.......whats yyvmmy? according to guytelefunken they introduced it in 1998 for all models......they still not admitting to cbest at my dealership they said i can adjust my personalized options brian

interesting.........well finally some1 shows me in black and white there it is! i did FINALLY verify with the dealers that they can adjust these features for me but none of the dealers i talked to were familiar with cbest! thanks brian

um i dunno.........which one would make my heat not always work on the passenger side? i can hear it sometimes click and whir and someday the heat on the passenger side just wont come on! so which one would i need?

ok ok FINALLY got a straight answer............yes these things can be done it has to go in they said as they have to hook it up to a scanner! will charge me 1/2 hour of labor ($50) and i should be able to have this and a few other things done!

just did mine.......u actually have to unscrew the taillight from the car! there are some black plastic covers covering my screws then i just unbolted the taillight! brian

UM i dunno if u can do it at the dealership or not! i wouldn't do anything at the stealership unless i had to but thats just my personal opinion! i had a HID kit installed into my high beams and my fog lights by my stereo shop for like 65 bucks (i provided the kit they come off my old es300)! it was simple! never had a problem with it! brian

ok so since the weather can't decide in Memphis if its gonna be cold or hot from day to day i might get this fixed NOW! do i just need to replace the blend door or the actuator? how do i know which one to change? seriously someone can you help?

well they were fairly cheap........best i mustered was a high 11 on a automatic in the green car (i built it for the fiance who of course totaled my baby) my black hatch ran into the 10's a few times but was a more consistent 11's car! my mechanic built a old dodge colt........gutted it completely (even sawzawed some of it) put a mitsi 4g63 eclipse turbo motor in it, a front mount intercooler, and a after market clutch and ran 10.3's @ 109 ALL day long...was the ugliest thing and u would NEVER think it would run yet alone almost run 9's! i need a personal assistant! l8r brian

sigh, alex where does the time go? last week i was like 2 weeks ahead at work and now im like 4 days behind! anyways, i wish i could do this like i did when i had my turboed greenhatchback i bought a spare set of calipers and had them professionally painted/clear coated but i know i cant find a set for the gs series cheaply! so i guess this friday i will pick up the caliper paint (i think im just gonna do black) im gonna use and try to make some time! (oh i attached some pics of ONE of my old honda's you should be able to see the matching calipers in the pics! the bumper was off as the tsunami bumper in the last pic was being painted and after i got it on the car, my baby got the h22a3 motor swap and a hybrid t3/t4 turbo swap done!) i will try a sticker place shortly to get them! guess im gonna chug this beer and head to bed....... oh off the subject u been watching the forum alex? see what i mean its the same 10 people answering everyones ?'s everytime! where are all the members?

um im just wanting to know a price on my front wheel bearings on a 2001 gs430 and a actuator and also a blend door for the a/c!

i have seen paint get to hot it discolors and cracks.......looks bobo as hell! thats y i asked if u clear coated it with the sticker on.......u shouldnt ever have to replace it again! the clear coat will get dirty and u can just wash the clear coat off and viola your sticker UNDERNEATH still looks 1 day old!

i dunno if they had a remote for the 99? my 93 just had a click button on the side of the key! even if u buy a remote IF they make one for your car they will still have to cut the key and i dunno about yours but mine has a transponder in it so ONLY the dealer can cut mine! mine is a laser cut key that has to be cut to my vin so before u buy one off ebay find out if yours does!

LOL! for the millionth time..........ACCORDING to 6 different dealers in 5 different states there is no such thing as c-best or c-bert! so unless they ganging up together and lying to me........im not saying u cant do them im saying no such service as the c-best/c-bert according to the dealers i called in nashville/memphis/dallas/new york/and florida (i have got relatives in all the states i called)! but try asking them about the lexus personalized settings that they say arent offered for that year! maybe u can go that way! i gotta go to them tomorrow and see if i can gets omething done about mine while i pick up a part! i'll let u know what i find out!

yeah my goal this summer is to pull the back calipers/rotors off and spray the rotor hat! i bought my car up north in new jersey and on the long drive home the brakes went out so i had to pay a shop for them.........I KNOW i coulda saved some green when i got home but i was on a time schedukle and gave them the $511.90 for front ceramic pads/fropnt rotors..... rear ceramic pads/rear rotors and the rotor hat is already rusted out looking and that wasnt but 6 months ago! so im gonna get some high temp brake caliper paint and do that this summer! did u remove your calipers to paint them or just tape everything off? the heat doesnt fade them or did u put the sticker on and clear coat it on?

my 430 only came with one key when i bought it..........can u post a pic of the key? but if it is a remote with the 3 buttons on the remote its the master! i think the valet is gray! ALSO what year is your lexus u might wanna put that in the info under your sn so people know and can help better! i dunno for 100% fact but i would NOT assume all the remotes work for each model as my 93 es had a different remote than my ex gf's 97 es! i talked to my dealer and they told me no matter if i buy a blank key with the remote its still gonna be like 260 to cut it! so i found sewell lexus............... lexus-parts.com and i am getting all 3 of my keys for like 210 shipped and cut to my car! they run us good deals for members plus they always offer some promotion or something to cut us a price break
