eventually u can start producing (i dont think thats the right term) detonation or pinging andcause harm to your motor.... its just not worth doing even for 5.00 a gallon. a motor rebuild or a new motor will cost u that

someplaces will rebuild them..........look in the phone book for a armature building! or a alternator rebuild/repair shop! but you might wanna double check thats your problem first! might be able to get a used one from a wrecked/junked gs300 or a supra i think only the n/a supra will work BUT the TT model's starter might work! just look into that. hope that helps some! brian

welcome to the forum.........hmmmmm u know i dont recall there being chrome on my bezel maybe there is! where is the gta? and i have that same problem on my mark levinson........some of the paint seems like it scraped off right under the nav and the plkace where u turn the knob for volume (obviously the owner before me didnt believe in using the steering wheel controls) has paint missing on it! the one under the nav is def noticeable the other isnt to bad! let me know if you find someone, have you inquired about just getting the bezel? brian

NO U right u wouldnt need the undercoating IF IT WORKS! and yes the scientific theory is about right but that doesnt mean it does what it claims! im not saying it wont, im just kinda weary of a 300 maybe box that is supposed to "repel" rust! brian

i think,but i dunno,that he was asking more about like an undercarriage rust coating they spray on the cars.......also it says when you go to buy that counteract thing, IT CANNOT BE SHIPPED TO CANADA and he did say he lived in Canada.Plus at 300+ its a little costly to wonder if it actually works.......all its essentially doing is reversing the continuity and trying to expel the water molecules so they don't stick to the car? i think thats the jist of what i read! just my $0.02 though! brian
