  1. His 2006 IS350 gps is gen 5 and your dvd is gen 2/3 and won't work in his car. Just FYI.
  2. Anyone else convinces me to spend $5k more to get an 06? :)
  3. I'm planning to buy an used 05 or 06 SC430. But the price of 06 seems in the range of $30k+ and the price of 05 is only around $25k (same mileage). My question is the big difference in cost worth the money just one year newer. I greatly appreciate all helpful input from the current SC430 owner.
  4. Billy, Thanks for a quick response. I got my VIN correct because it has shown my Lexus year, model, and color correctly. But when it comes to the email, phone communication option and it got stuck with the error message above. Maybe, I will try it later today and see what will happen. And no, I don't have a salvage title.
  5. I have tried to register my 04 LS430 on Lexus owner website and got this error message "Incoming VIN is not a valid TMS VIN. The VIN must be in CCDB. Please enter a valid TMS VIN. We're sorry, your request cannot be completed at this time. Please try again later." Does anyone know what wrong with it? Thanks in advance.
  6. The cost of the parts you've shown are OEM or aftermarket or rebuilt parts? I have checked Lexus Ultimate OEM Parts website and they quoted PS Pump and Pressure hose for more than $900. Should I use Toyota PS Fluid or generic fluid? Thanks for your help.
  7. Your car is the first model year of gen 5 and I think you can't use override feature (probably Lexus disable it). I may be wrong.
  8. Check this pdf file and you know what generation is for your car. Lexus_Generation_Chart.pdf
  9. It won't work because they are different generations.
  10. Thanks a lot Blake, you save me a bunch of time to try to look in the Owner's Manual. Thanks again.
  11. Does anyone know how to reset this message? Every time I start the engine, it always shows "CHECK ENGINE" and after that "MAINT. REQD' " appear. They recommend to change oil and I did but now I don't know how to reset it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  12. If you live near Tustin Lexus dealer, take it there they'll reset it for you FREE. Good luck.
  13. Do you know they have update v7.1 gen 4? Could you give the link if available? Thanks.
  14. MSRP is $265. Dealer prices range from $250 - $300 in So. California. Haven't seen the upgrade personally, but those who have it seem satisfied. Guess it's a personal decision, based on how much you drive, where, your last upgrade, if any etc. Your 2001 gs430 is most likely a gen 2, so your v7.1 upgrade Lexus part # is PT219-GEN023-07. You can verify your upgrade version and part # on Lexus.Com. A Toyota dealer may give you a slightly better deal for Toyota part #PT219-GEN23-071, which is also supposed to work. I hear they're also selling on ebay & craig's list for about $100, (http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/pts/581607998.html) but I'm a bit leery about paying some unknown person for something without knowing if it realy works. There's downloads on the 'net, but getting it to work seems a bit tricky. (See http://www.mininova.org/com/1088929) ANYONE: I'm looking for someone to hook me up with ge 3 & gen 5 upgrades, here in So. Cal. Please PM me if you have any info or leads for me. Thx! B) Ramora, I have gen 3 v 7.1 Nav. Map Dvd. If you're still interested, hit me up. I'm in Irvine.
  15. Thanks for replying to this post. The answer is all the rear sensors. No matter how close I stand next to the rear bumper while my wife is putting the gear in reverse.
  16. I just bought used 2004 LS430 couple months ago. But I recently found out that the rear parking sensor not working any more. Does anyone know this problem? Appreciate all the help.
  17. What version is your new navigation DVD? My 04 LS430 is not working with the latest version 7.1. Please let me know what version will work with my car. Thanks.
