  1. So it's officially winter up here in Michigan and I like to setup my car at the end of the day for the rough mornings of brushing snow and scraping ice off of my car. I always leave the seat heater on 3 (no issues there) and I want to leave my defrost on high when exiting my vehicle so when I start it in the morning, I just push the button and then it can warm up while I scrape ice off. When I tried to do that last part, I turned my defrost on high and shutoff my vehicle...my defrost kept going! I waited for a while thinking the fans just had to wind down so I exited my vehicle and locked it. I waited for 3 minutes, still going! Has anyone encountered this issue or know a fix? I also tried switching it to just the cab instead of defrost and I ran into the same issue... any help or input is appreciated.

  3. I have not yet. A mechanic friend of mine did hook me up with the wiring diagram, though (I could not figure out how to attach it to this). Hopefully it comes in handy when I get around to doing it. I'll keep you posted and maybe even make a play-by-play for those who are also trying to do the same.
  4. I actually have too but I have these two 10's just lying around, bought them for the old car and then it died on me. 200k miles so I can't complain there but I currently have the subs hooked up to a computer power supply (essentially an AC/DC converter) in my house and the small little power supply doesn't do them any justice. So, needless to say, I want to get them back in a car.
  5. Thanks for the info, I'm looking to do this myself and I've had no idea where to start until reading your post. Is there any other way of figuring out which wires go to the subwoofer? Hooking up an AC powered amp is a good idea but I just feel like there has to be a better way of doing this...
  6. Well an older gentleman up the street from me just bought a old Ferarri Testarossa...so I don't think I'm ever goning to surpass the nicest car on the block no matter how much I wash the dang thing.
  7. Okay so really I don't even know where to start. I bought the car used with normal wear and tear really, just a few rock chips on the hood which is easily attainable with 40,000 - 50,000 highway miles right? Well I have had the car for not even a year (7 months really) and I have noticed now that there are what appear to be rock chips all over the front end! They are everywhere! I do not remember driving behind a gravel truck for an extended period of time either. My only explanation could be that kids may have found it funny to hurl pebbles at my car but they are all in the front... Could the paint just be chipping? I also don't drive on gravel very much so that too can be ruled out. Also what will be my best option to fix these? A new paint job or could I go with a bottle of Mr.Colorchip touch-up paint? Does anybody know of some good touch-up paint? Another paint problem that I have is that the paint on the rear bumper right below the lexus symbol is bubbling. Will Lexus cover this? THANKS in advance I really need help, I know it is a bunch of questions.
  8. Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing. I wash my car once a week and I thought that I was being anal about it. Man I wish I had the time for that
  9. Exactly. You could just leave the trim off but it looks really bad.
  10. These changed the world...and my budget.
  11. Actually I have found a way that you can do it all in one step but it is terribly inconvienient. You can stick the lazer cut key in the door and hold it in the lock position and all of the windows will close. It is a one step procedure but, will probably take more time than just pressing the buttons on the inside of the car.
  12. Well I guess maybe the garage is a smart choice for next time ;)
