No it doesn't die or act up in anyway.You can feel a very lite jerk,studder,or maybe the engine slightly missing best about 45mph with the engine running about 1600rpm.Once you give it more gas to accelerate to 60 or above it goes away.

The car was doing this before and after tune up.I thought a tune up would have fixed this problem.Don't think its the motor.Just not sure.

I usually have to turn the engine over 4 or 5 times before it cranks on cold mornings.I don't have a repair manual.Someone told me about a cold fuel injection that may be clogged.I have a 1990 ls400 with 89,000 miles.Just had a full tune up performed.Where on the engine is the injector located and how easy is it to remove and clean.Or is there anything else I need to check out.Once the engine warms up it cranks first try everytime.

Parking brake is off everything is normal.When you let off the gas and it feels like a brake is applied if you press the gas again it's like the car jerks.

Thanks for the info.But the transmission overdrive is switched on.So I still don't understand why when a high speeds that it feels like a brake is being applied when I let off the gas.

I just recently bought a 1990 lexus ls400 and I was wandering what the purpose of the trans lock button was?I also noticed that when I'am driving at highway speeds and I let off the gas It's like a brake is being aplied, can anyone tell me what this is.Do not have a owners manual.Thanks.

I have a 1990 ls400 with 89,000 miles on it.Just had a full tuneup done.While driving between the speeds of 40 and 60 or so mph the car seems to sputterd and jerk like the motor is missing or trans is slipping.When I get around 70 or faster it seems to smooth out.I figured it wasn't the motor or it would do it all the time.Any suggestions would be helpful.Haven,t owned the car for about a few months and I'am already to sell it, if I can't figure this out.Thanks.
