I had this as well when i bought mine (just a few weeks ago). It is a seperate motor from the front one and yes it is the motor, I can almost guarantee it as mine was acting the same way, can't remember exactly how much it was (I take mine to an independent toyota/lexus/honda/nissan shop. I think the part was around 130.00 new. Good luck!
