  1. i would be very persistant about it possibly bring a lawyer in to your situation. bumpers arent cheap and for them to do that to your brand new car is totally wrong. plugs will always be there and it will remind you of that everytime you look at your new car. go beyond that lexus dealership and wriite/call corporate, take pictures and keep records of everything thats been said and incidents. write letters. if it were me i wouldnt stop until the problem is resolved. complain about mgmt, etc... to corporate go to other lexus dealerships maybe they can do something for you. just dont give up! as long as your in the right.
  2. the car will run fine on 87 octane. but the car recommends premium it even says it on the gas lid when you open it. besides if you do the math its like 4-6 bucks more per fill up genreally when i fill up its about 15 gallons to my tank. give or take but on average. regular @ $3.00 a gallon it cost about 45$ premium @ $3.30 a gallon about $49-$50 so lets say on average you drive roughly 15k miles yearly and you get about 300 miles to the tank to be conservative you would need to fill your car about 50 times in that year. regular gasoline @ $2250 yearly cost in gas premium gasoline @ $2500 yearly cost in gas these are all assumptions on driving habits, yearly estimates on mileage also it reflects gas prices in FL at the current time. so is it really worth it to you? my point is this, my parents have owned the LS line for the last 15years give or take a year or 2 and they have only filled the ls400 with premium. they gave my little sister there 1998 lexus back in 2002 and she is stills driving the car in perfect condition with a prestine engine. also its a lexus qulaity. i just got a 08 is250 a few weeks ago and only premium will go in it. they dont recommend things for no reason
  3. im getting between 22.9-24.8 mpg @about 1k milage in the city. and i have a pretty heavy foot. bare in mind i also live in fl with absolutely no hills, also i belive my county spends the most money on maintaining their roads. haha
  4. thank god this worked, i just got my car less then a week ago and the dinging sound was driving me nuts
  5. sounds pretty good, but i walked out with my 08 is250 before taxes and tag at 32k
