Hey Folks - How do I replace the drivers side sunvisor on 95 ES300? Is it fairly easy to do? I just purchased a pre-owned from ebay and waiting for it arrive by next week. Thanks in advance for your help.

my 95 es300 had similar issues, root cause was warped rotor and a caliper that was not releasing the brake pads. have them looked at

I had similar issue with my 95 ES300, it was warped rotor and bad brake caliper. Have your brakes inspected.

So I took it to a local car repair shop. They said my calipers were not letting go of the brake pads and the rotor was warped. He replaced for rotors, pads, defective Caliper and brake hose line. I took the car upto 80 MPH and no vibration, looks like the problem got fixed. He charged $333.50 for all including tax. Hope that is a fair price.

It shakes regardless of braking. Do you guys think it could be the ball joint or the tie rod? Is that expensive, any idea as to how much it maybe. The car is a 95 and has 150K miles. Is it even worth fixing? Any advise is appreciated

Hey Guys - I have 95 ES300 with 149K miles. The runs well with no issues until last week. I had the tires rotated and balanced, which I do every 5K. The car started to shack and vibrate at speeds above 65. I took the car back to shop and they re-balaced the wheels. The problem still exists. all in all - i had the tires balanced 4 times within a week but the problem is still here. I took the car to 3 different COSTCO to insure that the tire tech didn't mess up. I had them check the tires, which still have 8/32" of thread left and the tech told me that nothing is wrong with the tires. At this point I am guess the problem is something other than balancing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Are OEM tires covered under warranty?

Funny thing. Now the light has gone away for 2 days. Does this mean it was just a miss read or the problem still exists.

Firestone said that my front valve cover gasket is leaking oil and will be about $350 to fix? Is this a good price? is this a DIY job?

Just got the scan done at AutoZone and it came back with P0773 - "Shift Solenoid E electrical malfunction SSV DSL". Can anyone help me understand this in plain english. Thank you

This morning when I started my 1995 ES300, the O/D light started to flash and check engine light was on. After about 10 minutes of driving, the O/D light went off but the check engine light is still on. The car has about 143000 miles. Your help is greatly appreciated. Ajay D.

Just picked up a 2005 RX330. Dealer says I should use premium gas, manual says regular is fine. Can you guys give your feedback? Gas is so darn expensive, I don't want waste money if the car does not need premium but don't mind buying it if needed. Thanks

Hi, I have 1995 ES300 and the driver side sunvisor will not stay up. It hangs just by my eyes. Any suggestions or tips? Also, the cupholder does not comeout any more when I push on it. I actuallu have to pull it with something in order for it work. Any ideas on fixing this. Thanks

Guys- on my 1995 ES300, I use to be able to press on it and it would pop right out for my use. Last couple of months, looks like the spring has failed or something else. Now the cupholder does not come out. Any idea as to how I should fix it. I did try to do a search before posting, but I wasn't able to find anything. Second thing, the sun visor seems to be lose and hangs in my face. took it to lexus and they said I need to buy a new one and its going to be over $500. any help. Thanks in advance Ajay

Thanks for all the help guys... I will give it a shot today. I did look at the bubble and they are not aligned to the "0" mark, so hopefully I am able to fix it.

I got silverstars about couple of days ago, and i have noticed that the driver's side light is brighter than the passanger side. What could have caused this and how can I fix it. Thanks in advance

Ya, just open the hood and behind the light assebmly you will see some plugs connected to the bulbs. Disconnect the plugs and the bulbs twist off. Atleast they did on my 1995 es300. took me about 5 minutes to change all 4 bulbs. good luck and the silver stars are worth every $$$

Its the one by firewall. I was told by lexus that its a good idea to change them both at the same time. I ordered the part from www.irontoad.com for about $101 a piece lexus parts and changed them my self in 30 minutes. Lexus wanted Total of $600 labor charge to change both....

Its very easy, once you are done changing the O2 sensor, just unplug the battery for about 5-10 minutes and that will reset the ECM.... Good luck

I just changed my es300 lights to SilverStar, both high's and low's. The car looks really nice and the lights are very bright. Not bad at all... got them at pepboys for $22.99 for each set after rebate...
