  1. For what it is worth I recently upgraded the door speakers in my 93 Es300 to Infinity Kappas and the sound is amazing!
  2. I would also like to say that I too was having the same problem and was dreading the implications. I was almost ready to shell out some big bucks when my nephew came over. We had a few beers and before too long he was under the car looking for possible problems. Finally after several beers I asked if he could see the power steering pump under the car. The power steering pump on this model controls the fan as it is hydraulic opposed to an electric fan. After a few moments of digging around under there he announced that there was a din cable that was unplugged...this happened to be going to the solonoid that shifted the fan to full speed. He plugged it back in and to this day it has never run hot again. Talk about a simple fix I really got lucky on this one.
  3. I would like information about this also.
  4. Here is a different working link. It would be nice if they would have included just how much horse power gain is accomplished. Weapon-R working link
  5. Saw these whilst browsing and thought some of you might enjoy.
  6. Saw this on ebay and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it or has tried it. How much additional horse power could I hope to gain from this and does anyone have any additional ideas for horsepower improvements? Secret Air intake weapon-r
  7. Thanks for all the replies and excellent trouble shooting tips. I did fill the coolant as suggested and have not had any temp spikes as of yet. I'll check on the engine mount this weekend.
  8. I am the new (as in 3 days) owner of a 93 Lexus ES300 and really like the car, however, I have been faced with two problems. The first problem is that the car overheated on me while I was in some serious stop and go traffic for about 15 to 20 mins. There were no warning lights on the instrument panel I just happen to see a tiny bit of steam coming out of the hood which prompted me to look at the temp gauge that was now almost red lined. I parked it and later filled it up with water. If the car is in park for an extended period of time or in stop and go heavy traffic it will over heat but, in regular driving it seems to be just fine. I did check the fan and it was working...so any advice on this would be appreciated. Secondly I feel this weird 'clunking' noise when I am at a red light or when the car is in park. The rpms do not change but I hear and feel this 'clunk' periodically like once every 30 seconds or so. It makes the sound as though I am shifting into gear but I am not, and it is all coming from the engine. Aside from this I love the car and would appreciate any input.
