  1. Definatly do a BFI over any aftermarket intake
  2. Definatly do the BFI, the is a couple Cold air intakes on the market but they all suck, the BFI gives you the most power, and its the cheapest. I just finished mine and i love it.
  3. I have gone 145mph plenty of times in My SC4 in the wee hours of the morning or in the middle of the day. I got scared one time when my oil lamp came on.
  4. It depends what you are looking for in a system. It also depends on what system you have, the premium(pioner) or the NAK, there isn't too much difference in the sound. But ultimatly its what you are looking for ie lots of bas,or great sound quality, or both
  5. Yes in normal it stays in gear longer. When the power is on your transmition downshift quicker and easier. Your transmition becomes more sensative, to how quickley you hit the gas. You can test it with power off hit the gas fast half way, then do that same thing with the power on, you will notice with the power on it will downshift much faster. With the power on it also shifts closer to red line when you have it floored.
  6. For you power steering use Dexron Mercon III ATF
  7. yes it is plug and play the plugs are the same, no tricks and they work much better than the SC's 12 disc player. The only way it would't work is if your sc has the base audio system that does not have a cd changer and the cd button on the headunit. Otherwise it works would have done it myself, but I now use my ipod so i don't need cd's.
  8. I think you are talking about and input not an output and yes it can be done. cut wires C1, C2 and C6 and C7 Tie C1 and C2 together and C6 and C7 together and then on the end where there are the 2 rca ports on the cable(this cable is a left/right male rca to a 3mm stereo plug), cut that end off and tie one wire to C1 and C2 and the other wire to C6 and C7 The C plug is the third plug going away from the antenna C1 and C2 are on the top row closest to the antenna C6 and C7 are directly under c1 an c2 I would suggest doing what i did though, i bought an wired in FM modulator, it works great they sell them at bestbuy, all it does is plug into your antena port and then your antenna plugs in on top of it. Then there is a switch mounted on you dash to switch between the radio and your ipod.
  9. yes u are correct, the best one is from the 96 es 300, they are direct plug and play, look for ones that the date and month stamped on the bottom of the serial number id.
  10. Tmaxtim is correct i got mine from electronic express for 60, now they sell them at bestbuy and places like that, they are kinda hidden in the stores and most sales people don't no what or were they are so u might have to do some searching. But they work great, all it does is plug into the back of you head unit were your radio antenna plugs in the the antenna plugs in on top of it, very simple to install takes like 20 min. Make shure u have a male RCA to 3mm stereo cable cuz that is what is used to connect the ipod to the actual unit.
  11. i got a built in FM mojulator and it works awsome its not like others its not wireless, wires into the back of you headunit into the antenna plug then i put a switch in the dash to switch between my ipod and the radio, it has great quality.
  12. Doesn't look to bad, the back looks like an 350z and the front looks like a G35. I still thing the old SC 400/300 own it. I love the style of them with the long hood and the short back with the rear mounted cockpit, just like the muscle cars.
  13. Im looking for an SC400 trunk lock do anyone have one for sale, or no of a place that would sell them.
  14. I have a 92 Sc400 I believe my Nakamichi amp is parshaly blown because my rear speakers no longer work (my sub still works) and i know they are not blown because there is no static in them, there is absolutly no sound at all ,one day they just stopped. So i am looking for a Nak amp at a good price. I have seen them on ebay before but there are none currently. My other question is do any of the other NAK amps work in the SC400 such as the GS400,LX470 or the LS400 ebay has all three of those.
