  1. Thanks for your direction. Actually, according to the attached specs in the OP, they are 20" tires. The car had its 30K service (and a bunch of inspections) in Aug 2020 at 12K miles.
  2. Thanks. Non-Hybrid and comes with no warranty. I know the PPI will point out any major mechanical things, but not sure what it would pick up related to the internal electronics like the NAV, etc.
  3. I'm looking at a Used 2017 Lexus RX350 AWD with 16K miles on it (specs attached.) I have not actually seen it in person as it is some distance away. I will have a PPI prior to any final purchase, but what are some of the bugs I should look for on my own as a non-mechanical person? I may not have asked the question right, so please prompt me. Thanks in advance. 2017 Lexus RX350 Specs - 2T2BZMCA5HC056927.pdf
  4. Well, 5-years have passed since I bought Alenzas for my 2002 RX300 AWD... and I'm back to check in as it is time to replace them. Are the current Alenzas still a good choice, or are there better now? BobL
  5. Thanks for this referral. Ordered my key on Friday, and it arrived today. Worked on the first try.
  6. I believe I have a similar problem, though don't know for sure. 2002 RX300 AWD Intermittently, the window will stop moving up or down... it just stops. If I leave the button alone for a little while (minutes, hours, or days,) the window will just start working again. The first time this happened, I made an appointment with the dealer to have it checked out. Of course, it was working before I could take it in, so I canceled the appointment. I have two questions. #1 If the problem is intermittent, is there any way that the dealer is going to be able to identify the problem? (I don't think so, but you don't know till you ask!) #2 I have 4-months left on the CPO warranty. Would this be covered under the CPO warranty, or is it something they'll try to get out of. Regards, BobL
  7. I'm getting ready to change the battery in my 2002 RX300. Has anyone ever used one of these to save the settings: http://storeworth.com/product/9-Volt-Batte...mory-Saver.html? Do they really work?
  8. That's not necessarily true. I took my '94 ES300 to a shop in Scottsdale, AZ that was able to match the leather perfectly. When the time comes to replace the upholstery in my '02 RX300, I'll go to the same place. I'll see if I can find the name of it. BobL
  9. WRT this question, you are in the ballpark as that is about what I paid for mine from a dealer in TX in December. As for the tires, I'd get the new ones. The better ride will help sell the vehicle. Bob
  10. For those that are not aware, Barbershop Quartets (male and female) will be delivering singing valentines again this year. This is a unique opportunity to say "I love you" or "I want to embarass you" (or both). Generally, cost is about $50 for 2-songs, a card, and a rose and/or candy. It is a memorable event for the recipient... and is not something that you see everyday. If you don't know someone that sings in a Quartet or Chorus, you can always check out http://www.singingvalentines.com to find a group nearby.
  11. There's a discussion in General Maintenance that may help you form your own opinion. Seems like there are several different ones for different reasons. I ran 87 octane in my 94 ES300 for 81000 miles until I traded up.
  12. I'll preface by saying that I have an aversion to working with dealers. In a past life, I sold cars for a short time and found out what an unpleasant experience it could be for the customer; however, the experience with Hoy Fox was anything but unpleasant. My first contact with Hoy Fox came in November when I found a vehicle via the Internet that interested me. At that point, I was in the "just looking" phase and wanted to see what was out there in 2002+ RX300 AWD. Scott McCutchen sent me 35 pictures of vehicle and a brief description. After explaining my phase to him, Scott replied a respectful "thank you", and I did not hear from him again. (This is opposed to another dealer that wouldn't leave me alone!) Fast-forward a month later. I've done the research that I need, looked on a few lots in Albuquerque and the Phoenix area, and am ready to look more seriously. (Note that I made an appointment to see a vehicle in Albuquerque only to arrive and find the vehicle locked and the keys nowhere to be found ) I contact Scott again with an update, and let him know that I am very interested in his vehicle (it was still available), but want to do as much work online as possible as I'm 4-6 hours from El Paso. Through email and a couple of limited phone calls, the price was determined and my trade was even appraised from pictures and desciption. It was simply down to driving to El Paso, writing the check, and driving home. (By time we had a brief delay due to another customer, drove the vehicle, checked out, and had a thorough walkthrough, we were still at the dealership almost 4-hours.) I'd stongly recommend doing business with Hoy Fox, and specifically Scott.
  13. I believe I read on the Garmin site somewhere that map updates come out in the Spring. You may have the most current map that is available, but you can check back with Garmin regularly to see if it is updated.
  14. Maybe it's been pulled. I get the following error with your link:
  15. Check out this website. There is quite a bit of information from people that travel to/from Japan for business.
