  1. A bygone time...it's a shame I agree...
  2. Same to you Steve!
  3. Thanks guys! Yeah the Equus is a lot of car for the money, mbut sales are indeed quite poor...
  4. Its not displaying the warning that the key is not detected?
  5. Ethanol free will always be better...
  6. When the economy gets stronger I guess we'll be driving these for a while huh? LOL
  7. *I* am still shocked! On the GS they had the benefit of the $1,500 owner loyalty rebate they could apply without loosing cost, but they reduced the sales price $6k from $60k to $54k, increased the trade offer on my ES $2k from $23k to $25k, and reduced the money factor on the lease from .0020 to .0007 in order to make the deal work. Helped that it was the last day of the month. They listed my ES for only $3k more than they gave me for it, so I know I got top of the market for it too. Like I said, I think I could have gotten another $1,000 out of the deal, but they made the numbers work and I wanted to do the deal with them. On an ES they wouldn't have been able to do nearly as well. One stickered like I would have wanted would have been $43,800, I might have been able to get that for $41k. At the end of the day, this GS lease was about $35 a month more than a new ES lease would have been. No brainer...
  8. Yeah I've got them, they are fun! My mileage is only 17.9 LOL
  9. You'll get used to the remote touch controller. I've gotten to where I really like it.
  10. Yah some Sunocos in the area have 91 and 93
  11. Yah when you feel areas like the door panels on the 2013 ES, the lower sections are hard plastic now vs padded vinyl on the 2010. Glove bix also hard plastic. Leather is rouher, console is now plastic instead of wood. Little things that add up. Not much cost cutting in the GS, everything is padded vinyl or leather. Yeah I really thought about trying another brand, but nothing just feels right like a Lexus.
  12. There's not really much difference. If you watch them fill stations tanks, there are fuel delivery companies that aren't brand specific, they dump in a small tank of "additives" that are. Sort of the fuel being bad somehow your drivability issues are likely in your head. Gulf is actually a big brand anyways, it's those little no name stations that make me kinda nervous. I used to be a fuel brand snob, but since gas prices have gotten so high I'm not.
  13. You know, I saw the flaxen on a new LS on the showroom floor and it worked well, I was kind of surprised too. The flaxen is a little lighter than that color on the SC. I was unhappy with the new ES. They cut a lot of costs on the interior in terms of material quality vs my 2010, on the exterior they deleted all the chrome trim. On the GS the lack of chrome trim seemed to better fit the character of the car. On top of that it drove pretty much the same, and I've had basically that car for 10 years. Time for something different.
  14. Actually thats still from the dealer! They did a pretty good job...
  15. You gotta see the interior in person. The flaxen looks orangish in pictures, but in person its not. Thanks!
  16. Love the car, I've put about 100 miles on it so far and its a blast, quiet and effortless like a Lexus should be in normal mode, and its a beast in Sport +, super happy camper.
  17. Haha, deal! You gotta post the pictures of us too!
  18. Thanks DC! Rob, I love reading British articles lol half of what they're saying I have no idea what they're talking about lol
  19. Thanks! And I just realized I missed part of Jim's post. No radar cruise or LKA on this, they had one on the lot with all of that but it was $64k. This was already enough more than the ES LOL
  20. Congrats Paul! Yeah I know what you mean about the manuals. Does your dealer have a tech consultant? Mine does. I'm pretty savvy but I'm sure there are some tips and such I could pick up, I'm going to set up an appointment with him and see what he has to offer. The Panamera's are beautiful cars! Drove the GS around some today, got to take it out on the highway for the first time. Rides great! I can't believe I was worried I wouldn't like the way the GS drives. Definately firmer, but the body is much more controlled and stable, and on the highway it just glides effortlessly along, much like an LS does. Super happy camper. I didnt get a chance to snap any pics, it was cloudy here today anyways. I'll do so tomorrow.
  21. I know LOL. Its like I said, buying my old ES out of the lease for $20k would have been the smart thing, it was so well maintained...but I just had the unmistakable urge to try something new. All the way down to the wire I was torn about what to do! You only live once I suppose...
  22. Yeah the grill is growing on me, I especially like it on the new LS. Yeah it reminds me of my dad's old LS430 UL a lot, same high quality materials, same solidity (which the ES lacks), when you open the door and sit down and shut the door, the body of the car doesn't move at all on the suspension. It obviously rides firmer, but the ride is very nice with the AVS suspension. Its got the rear audio, the sunshades, 3 zone climate. Yep, gotta figure out the Enform and the apps. I was up until 1:30 last night playing with it in the garage. Its AWD. I would have preferred RWD since we have the Jeep to drive when it snows, but its impossible to get a RWD anywhere in this region, I'd have had to go down south to get it...just as well, from a resale perspective I'm sure that around here the AWD will be important. Room in the back is a little tighter than the ES legroom wise. The stats actually say the opposite, that the GS has an inch more legroom than the 07-12 ES...but I don't see how they came to that conclusion LOL. I usually lay my briefcase down flat in the backseat...doesn't fit in the GS. Have you looked at the new LS Jim? Nice...but my salesman says they haven't shipped any that are under $80k, so that new LS for me just keeps getting pushed down the road LOL
  23. My incredibly maintained, washed twice a week, not a nick or mark on it, always garaged, synthetic oil run 2010 ES350 is going to be coming up for sale at Lexus of Rockville. Its truffle mica with parchment, nav, 41k miles. They have another one just like it that has 35k miles, that one isn't mine. You won't find a better maintained CPO ES, just letting everyone know... If you see it and you're interested PM me and I'll share what they gave me so you know the basis for negotiating...
  24. My new GS doesn't change automatically either. No big deal.
