  1. Thx guys for ur time, but when I asked lexus if the setup was safe, they're saying that the tires will be too close to the wheel well and ball joint. I mean can I damage anything, cause I had my wheel mounted at lexus. If they say its going to damage the car, then I'm just thinking of putting back my stock wheels and selling my TSW. Thx in advance for ur answers guys.
  2. Hey guys, I just installed my TSW Sakata 5 wheels on my IS 250 AWD today and I have sum questions. Well first of all my dealership told me that I had to retorque the wheel after, i think 50 miles of driving is this true and why? And basically my set up is 18x8.5 with 225/40/18, and I was wondering if this is safe on my car? And also what do you do if you feel vibration when your driving like at 45 or more mph? Thx guys soo much for ur answers.
  3. I dont think it could have because the road was clear. But thx for asking. The weird thing is it smells like that every time I accelerate really hard. Guys have any suggestions?
  4. Did you get it from a dealership in the U.S.? Because if you did, I know this may sound cliche', but you got to take it back from where you bought it. I think the steering linkage is prolly not even connected. Sounds pretty weird. Srry for your misfortune. Hopefully you get some luck.
  5. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=43708 Thx bartkat, wow I didnt know it was the converter. So theres nothing that lexus can do from the looks of it. Nothing is lighting up in my dashboard. So I guess I got to live wit it? What should I do?
  6. Well I was on the highway, and I was driving my car pretty hard with the manual mode, then all of a sudden I started smelling this rotten egg smell, and it worried me. Is it burning oil, or something melting in my car I'm soo mad. Any helpful suggestions wat that smell is? thx guys.
  7. I live in chicago and when it snows it snows hard, so I opted for the IS250 AWD, even though I really wanted the IS350, but RWD cars are awesome but not so good in weather, I would suggest getting some good winter tires, I recommend Bridgestone Blizzak, they're pretty good. But I wouldn't trade it in, its such a good car.
  8. That's a pretty decent deal from the sound of it. I got the exact same car, the AWD black on black with navi and I got the car $35,000 after tax and everything on it. The dealer gave me a $4,000 off because I'm korean and he's korean, sounds kinda lame but hey it saved me money. And also the navi came with the lux, premium, and all weather floor mat package. The whole deal on the car was going to be about $40,000 which is about the MSRP from lexus. But does your car have navi, because without the navi, it shouldn't cost $36,000.
  9. THx guys for all the response but this seems like a stupid question, how many oil do I need to bring to the dealership, do I get like a one plastic bottle of oil or two plastic bottle, cause I've never really brought anything that I bought to the dealership, thx again guys
  10. Or in my suggestion just get the IS-F when it comes out. If I could I would trade in my IS 250 AWD for the IS-F in a heartbeat. Ahhh, if only if only...
  11. When I got my new IS 250 AWD, I drove it soft for a few miles maybe until it got 700 miles I started driving like any car, but what they say is true, dont use cruise control, and when your going on a trip or sumthing, just try to check your rpms and try to not stay in one rpm for too long. Have fun in your new IS.
  12. Ouch, but the full factory warranty is worth the price, just wish lexus would hurry and get sum suspension mods out, my IS 250 AWD has sum body lean that I want to get rid of.
  13. I only use fully synthetic in my lexus. If you are going to ask for the highest quality oil you better buy it elsewhere and just have to dealer do the oil change. From my experience the dealer charges twice as much for the oil as you can buy it a local parts store. There are many options available but all the studies i have read show that royal purle and Redline oil are the best, also remember even though it is synthetic oil and it takes longer to break down its not a bad idea to change your oil early. Personally i change mine every 3,000 miles, i figure if i spent 45,000 on a car i might as well maintain it really well! What kind of oil do u use though? And also, is Eneos oil any good, which brand is best? I heard a lot of people using mobil 1 syn, and also do u know wat kind of oil the lexus dealership uses?
  14. I was at SEMA this year for the product introduction lexus was very hesitant to say the prices, I am sure they will be expensive but they come with a full warranty and wont void your factory warranty. Are you serious, it wont void the factory warranty and comes with, full warranty, well all I can say is
  15. Yea staying street legal and emissions legal is important for me, and also keeping the warranty, can you tell me all the mods that wont affect my warranty and that is street legal and emissions? Also does installing a suspension kit thats offered in tire rack affect warranty?
  16. Welcome to the forum, by the way, did you get the AWD or the rear wheel drive IS250? And another thing, did you mean the 08 IS 250, or are u from the future?
  17. thx bartkat for the website, I'm gonna order sum parts, but does the HKS exhaust have any positive performance or is it more for the sound and looks? To be honest with any exhaust you add you arent going to feel any reel power gains. The place where power is made is by removing restrictions, the greatest restrictions in our exahust are the cats and headers. Dont get me wrong you will pick up some power but dont buy your exahust purley based on that, find one where you like the looks and sound and go for it. thx for the reply, I've decided to go wit the HKS exhaust, I kind of wanted to go wit the tanabe exhaust, but I think if I buy from lexus direct and they install it and advertise it, Im gonna think that its going to be covered under warranty. Thx every1
  18. thx bartkat for the website, I'm gonna order sum parts, but does the HKS exhaust have any positive performance or is it more for the sound and looks?
  19. It came equiped on my car when I ordered it. The exhaust has a very deep tone that is best compared to a Nissan 350z or Infiniti G35, maybe a little deeper than those two. The exhaust it great quality, fits perfect and doesnt drone but has a nice deep tone. The exhaust doesnt affect emissions sense it is just mufflers and not cats. Damn, your lucky, did it come with the car when you were first buying it? How about the warranty, does it still go under the emission's warranty? I'm so jealous!!
  20. It just snowed hard in chicago today, and my AWD IS250 took it like a champ. First I was wondering if I should've gotten the 350, but then when it snowed this much, I'm actually glad I got the AWD. :)
  21. Does anybody have the HKS exhaust that you can get from your dealer? And if you do, how does it sound, deep or high? Does it also pass emission laws etc..?
  22. thx guys for ur responses, I guess imma have to specify that I want the top of the line oil, do u guys recommend tat?
  23. I haven't gone to my first 5000 mile service yet, but just wondering if Lexus uses synthetic oil or not. Should I ask them to put in syn oil?
