My take on this is that Lexus wants to distinguish its premium ML sound system and uses a cheap run of the mill system as standard equipment. I got stuck with the same problem in my new GS350. The Bose system in my 6 year old Mercedes E320 was superior in every aspect. Two other complaints. The garage door opener selector isn't lighted so it's difficult to open a garage door at night. You have to feel around and hope you push the correct ( 1,2 or 3) button. Also no automatic light in the small trunk. Have I missed something? Steve

I just bought an '07 GS350 and have less than 300 miles. I want to get competitive prices on Platinum Extended Warranty from Lexus, not 3d party. . I'm confused about the various terms of the warranty. My last car, a Mercedes E-320 I purchased an additional 4 years for a total of 8 years and a max of 100k miles. I received a quote from the dealer I bought the GS from. For $2,000.00 I can get a Platinum, 0 deductible good for 7 years or 75k miles. Is that a good price?
