  1. I would give gbhrps suggestion a try first. Nothing to lose there either.
  2. They should hit dealer lot's sometime in September. There is a thread in the forum about the changes with some pics.
  3. I appreciate the reply.....anyone have any 'how to' diagrams?
  4. I am thinking of changing my licence plate & driving light bulbs to LED's...both take the '194' bulbs (I want to change the trunk light too, but I don't think it takes this bulb?) which are the stock 5W replacements. Has anyone done this on their ES 330 & how difficult are they to change? Any detailed instructions would be appreciated...I just don't want to break anything via trial & error. Thanks.
  5. You might want to research the 0 - 60 times back in the early 90's.....but I don't think a stock 250 HP RWD flagship with close to a 4,000lb curb weight was ever a tire smoker.
  6. Agreed! That's a great idea.
  7. Buick is apparently hitting the ground running with the new LaCrosse ... http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/wild-!Removed!-...iring-problems/
  8. Amsoil synthetic ATF covers both dexron III & Toyota Type IV fluids... http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atf.aspx Expensive, but excellent stuff & you get what you pay for. I think if you insist on dexron III specific fluid.....Castrol still makes it...so have a look at their website.
  9. Amsoil is all I use....whether it be in place of Toyota Type IV or WS fluid. :)
  10. For now (because my 05 ES is still under powertrain warranty) I take it to the dealer.....I bring them the oil (Amsoil 0W 30), filter (Amsoil EAO) & drain plug gasket (OE).....they charge me $29. As soon as the warranty expires I will be doing my own & using my new Fumoto valve.
  11. Amsoil makes a WS??? Since when? What do they call it? Here you go....it's fairly new, but I heard it was in the pipeline... http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atl.aspx
  12. Cool write up KBRX.....I don't trust a 100k mile interval for the fluid change either. Good news too is Amsoil now makes a WS ATF. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Yeah you can buy the body colored door mouldings as an 'assessory' so it's all good. I've got a few e-mails out to some Lexus contacts.......I want to see what improvements (if any) have been made to the interior.
  14. I'll make a note of that......thanks steviej! B)
  15. You could say that. :) I have good tire contacts as also. You might want to have a boo at this thread... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=54260 I assume you will need 215 60 16's when the time comes (if they are stock) correct?
  16. Excellent! Post pics of your new ride when you get a chance. Do you have winter rubber or planning to get a set for your ES? Barrie & the surrounding area gets hammered pretty good. If so I can help you out if needed.
  17. Welcome to LOC JH.....contact Lexus Canada to see if they can send you a manual......failing that e-bay is a good source....lot's of good info in there. I hope your issues are not serious......how many Km's on the car?
  18. Don't the 07 - 09's have dual exhaust? And I like the chrome at the bottom of the doors......add's a bit of 'Bling'
  19. Those are them....thanks Steve! B)
  20. I too am wondering about the interior Steve.....I have some slightly better pics of the exterior but they are too large to post as mentioned.....the exterior changes they did make are decent though imo.
  21. Congrats Steve, that's awesome!
  22. Some pics of the 'refreshed' 2010 ES 350 (hat tip to Mister Two on CL) These pics apparently are from a Lexus dealer in Taiwan. B) I'm liking the changes personally......especially the larger grille. I've got a few more that are a little better...but they are too large to post here. :(
  23. I've always thought that the oil filter placement on these engines (it's the same on my 05 ES 330!) was just dumb. :chairshot: Almost like it was an afterthought.....I think the engineer on this one was named 'Gilligan' frankly I'd be interested in a way to prevent such a mess as well.....I have never spilled any on the manifold & had any smoke issues....I just put an old large towel on the subframe area underneith along with the catch pan to minimize the mess as much as possible....and after some wiping, I have no dripping afterwards....but it IS definately a PITA.
  24. One thing this valve does is prevent oil from getting all over your hands, & the like (I change mine when it's hot & even wear gloves) so it prevents a possible mess.....I feel the price is well worth it for less aggravation & more convenience. Also works well for those that do an oil anylasis....you can control the flow of oil.
