I would go with the Denso Iridium long life SK20R11 plugs personally with .044" gap....the NGK IX plugs are very good, but will only last roughly 30 - 40k miles. Just my 2 cents.

I'll put my money on both being very similar......I tried this when I first got my 2005 ES.....did not notice a single difference between the regular & higher octane grades. Now if only I had the money back I spent over the years on premium fuel... :whistles:

Welcome to LOC hause! Very nice grad gift! I agree that if you find a 'peach' of an ES & it has the base stereo.....don't base your entire decision on that alone (would you rather an ES in worse shape with the Nak system?). Also go for the 2000/2001 model or the newest ES you can find in your price range.
