  1. Might be due for a tranny drain & fill and filter cleaning. How many miles on the car?
  2. Much of the original cast appears to be back...Enjoy! B) http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080826.002/tr...ious-4-released
  3. Agreed.....seems like a very decent deal to me Josh.....I say go for it! I love the 'war dept' comment too lmao! I just call my wife 'The Boss' ;) I'm considering a beater for the winter too....an older AWD Subi if I can find one in good shape. Winters here in Southwestern Ontario can be a bugger.
  4. Agreed....I would see what service/warranty info you can find on your car before you take the car to a shop for some service/maintenance that way your not paying for something that's already been done.
  5. Please explain what you mean by exceedingly poor results & which Avid tires you are talking about.
  6. My 05 ES already had the Lexus wheel locks when I purchased the car used......back in the spring I put new OE ES 350 'take off' wheels & new tires on her.....well over $3,000+ if you bought the wheels brand new in the parts department. I sleep better at night with the Lexus wheel locks on.....which are only about $25 anyways. B)
  7. Find out the month & year on your door jamb would be my advice & order the parts accordingly.
  8. Clairiton
  9. I always like the 1990 - 1993 Accords.....especially the wagon's. B)
  10. Agreed! That's alot of stuff to happen to a 2008 LS of all cars.
  11. Awesome Vette! B) How about pics of your LS? ;)
  12. Sounds like condensation from the A/C.....perfectly normal. ;) It will drip for a while after the car is turned off when you have used either the A/C or the front defroster.
  13. Try an auto wrecker or salvage yard. I know of one of the largest one's here in Canada that I can give you but I have no idea what any of the shipping charges would be. E-bay is another possibility.
  14. An engine & tranny should last the life of the car with proper maintenance. I've used both Mobil 1 & Amsoil ATF and found that the Amsoil is the better performing ATF with much better shift qualities......it's compatible with both Dexron II/III & Toyota Type IV fluids. I would not use any additional additives if your already using synthetic fluid however. More info here... http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atf.aspx
  15. What tire size does your GS require? I have two: 215 60 16 or 235 45 17's as possibilities. I agree that Michelin's are on the pricy side but you get what you pay for. One tire you should seriously consider based on your post would be the Yokohama Avid H4S which are available in both of the above sizes. It's a very good value & compromise in an all season tire with very good treadlife. More info here... 235 45 17 - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...es&place=13 And here... 215 60 16 - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...yes&place=8 You will be fine using an H speed rated tire on your GS.
  16. They should fit.....quite few members have done that mod on here.....and I agree the 2000 - 2001 tails look much better.
  17. I use Amsoil 5W 30 with the Amsoil EAO synthetic filter here. B)
  18. Welcome & congrats on your purchase Alex! B) Post some pics of your new ride when you can.

    Lol....I enjoyed that!
  20. I'd consider the LS or ES personally. My Wife's not a car person per se....but she know I love them & everything that goes along with them. She enjoy's going to the auto shows, occasional dealership etc with me. She also know's what she want's in a vehicle generally speaking & then it's TO'd (turned over) to me for research, advice & off to find one in the colour & equipment she would like. Because of my advice she know's to stay clear of some brands (IE: anything Chrysler, many european makes etc) & to add certain ones to her short list (Lexus, Subaru, Toyota Etc). ;) I've also taught her the importance of regular maintenance.....that I do mostly myself now that I think about it lol.
  21. Welcome to LOC! You will need Dexron III ATF fluid or equivalent. Try to get an owners manual from e-bay or order one through your dealer. When was the last time a 'major' tune up was performed (Spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter & PCV Valve)? Has the timing belt been changed yet?
  22. Looking good Lextacy. B)
