  1. What's that product worth in the stores andre?
  2. It might be as simple as a small "staple size" pin hole that is causing the problem (or something like a nail, screw, small piece of sheered metal). I'd take it to the dealer for them to have a look at.....if you need a plug/patch, it's not more than $20 - $30 I wouldn't imagine. Not 100% sure if they will replace the tire, but tey might fix it at no charge. Good Luck!
  3. Toyota Avalon is not a bad choice at all. B) What year(s) are we talking about? Slighly larger than the ES 300 but same mechanicals & it's Toyota's flagship to boot! I just kind of like that Lexus logo on the front & back of the car myself, but nothing wrong with the Avalon so I'd say the same rules apply pretty much to the Avalon as to the ES when it comes to having it checked out my a mechanic first & get service records if you can. :)
  4. Where might I find BG44K on the internet? any specific website? :)
  5. As do I lol I will check back after my honeymoon! B)
  6. Excellent, keep us posted B)
  7. How about a 97 - 98 ES 300......it's got a boost in horsepower & torque since the 93, has been upgraded over the previous generation & as long as you find a well maintained with decent milage, in good condition......that might be the way to go or at least ad to your "short list". B)
  8. Why not consider a GS 400 instead of the GS 300? A lot more power with the V8. What kind of cash do you want to spend? & does it matter if you have 2 or 4 doors? B)
  9. Pearl whit paint is one of the hardest colours to match (if entire body panels have to be repainted after a collision for an example). Regular touch up's shoud give you a two sided "paint pen" one with the white paint & the other a clearcoat.
  10. Understood mburn, sorry to be a pest.....I didn't realize it was going to take a 3 - 4 weeks.....I'll be patient for the results. B) ;) :D
  11. I'm going to give a new product a try from Liqui-Moly (German company). It's their total fuel system cleaner & I will use it on my trip down to Florida over my honeymoon & will report back on how it performed. B)
  12. Any oil test's back at all yet gents? mburn? JPI? Won't be around here for a couple weeks come saturday so just wanted to check in. B)
  13. Agreed! Find a newer ES & one that's been better looked after with all service records. In the long run, it's the best way to go even if it's cost you a bit more at the start. B)
  14. Not a bad choice at all zeta! B) Best of luck with you new wheels! :D
  15. I've heard good things about them Lex, I hope you like em! B)
  16. I'd prefer the Lexus / Toyota red coolant personally (I just did a cooling system flush 2 months ago with it). Thats just my 2 cents, but I think this "debate" isn't quite over yet lol Change it ever 2 years / 30000 miles & live happily ever after. ;) B)
  17. Talk about no class! it's a shame really. Just aweful :chairshot:
  18. ES, you won't go wrong with putting the Lexus/Toyota coolant that's recommended for your 93'. On top of that, I would just suggest to change it ever 2 years or 30,000 miles. ;)
  19. Thats just the small "lip" spoiler correct sk?
  20. Sounds like your implying that he's a crook!? hardly! He knows I use only the best so he offered me only the best ;) as he also carries Mobil 1 as well as conventional & did the oil change for me for only $5.00 more than what it would cost me to do the Mobil 1 oil change. :D If anyone is intrested in knowing more about this, the North American distributor for Liqui-Moly is a company called Altrom or http://www.altrom.com They have quite a few different products to offer. I've just switched to the 5W 40 100% synthetic grade & will be using the Liqui-Moly synthetic fuel system cleaner (professional grade 500ml) on my honeymoon as we are driving to Florida. I will share my findings for those who are intrested when I return near the end of May. M-Kay?! B) :D As I mentioned, you can find out more about their products at the following link: http://www.liqui-moly.de/web/lmhomeen.nsf/pages/index_flash I have e-mailed the head office in Germany (helps to speak both languages to some degree). They should be sending me some technical specifications soon. I will post when I receive them.
  21. agreed 99 :) What kind of tire pressure guage do you have by the way VB? Digital ones are fantastic & only about $10....they work great! Glad everything was ok too. :)
  22. Lol I hear ya setviej B) It is quite expensive stuff. Thanks for the info, I'll check it out on CL to see if I can find some more opinions on their products. What's your take on the 5W 40 synthetic grade out of couriousity?
  23. That sounds pretty close to me give or take a couple hundred RPM's. :)
  24. That's the point I've been trying to make tweak.....well said! B) & agreed.
