  1. www.toyotanation.com B) It's North American
  2. Replace it with a V rated tire! don't even attempt anything else....for the sake of a few bucks. B)
  3. That is why I only allow bottled water in my ES lol B) Last week, I phoned my wife from work & she spilled the whole glass of cranberry juice on my Vista 350 phone ($350 phone with all the toy's back in the day) & pooched the thing! :chairshot: I feel your pain! All programmed numbers (50 of em) are gone & half of these people don't have e-mail nor did I memorize their numbers lol. Now I have to e-mail as many people as I can to get their numbers again
  4. Couldn't agree more sw! Very happy with mine :D My wife is calling the Ford dealer she got her Focus ZX5 from to see if they will "chip in" for a set of the Proxes TPT's as the Firestone Firehawk GTA-02's are even worse than the Bridgestone RE 92's! Is that even possible? lol, she only has about 22,000 miles & I have maintained the proper air pressure & rotations....they slip on dry pavement!!! I'm still stunned that car makers put such garbage on a brand new car......but I suspect the dealer won't be able to do anything (although her family has bought cars from the same sales guy & dealer for over 25 years), but regardless......Toyo's are going on her ride soon! B)
  5. I second what steviej says.....I use the exact same oil & filters B)
  6. Unfortunately, that's the price one pay's when they buy an ultra high performance tire (all season in this case)....almost all in that category are.
  7. Do you mean one tire on each side (1 H rated & 1 V rated)?
  8. Thanks sw B) I know they aren't the best photo's but they are all I have of the car to this point. I will post some better ones with more detail soon. :) Get close up's on those Toyo's etc lol :D
  9. Why do you want the Touraeg over the RX? I'd keep the RX personally the thing is georgous! B)
  10. :D Thanks steviej!
  11. Agreed, I have 20% all around on my 01 ES....the pics are in this forum.....it's the best in my opinion as the tint WILL fade slightly as the years go by. I had to get my entire car re-tinted (at Tint King) as the installer did a horrible job the first time & I was furious cause I was worried about the back window getting damaged with the defroster as well. If done professionally with an experenced installer they should know what they are doing. I've been told by several people it's one of the most difficult windows to tint do to the angle of the rear window.....the rest of the car is a snap. Good luck! B)
  12. How many miles on the car? Unless the previous owner hit something hard with the car or has HIGH mileage, the suspension should last quite a long time. What is the exact size of tires you need? What part of the country are you in, I ask because I wonder if snow is a consideration when suggesting new tires? B)
  13. Your owners manual or suppliment should outline what is required at the 60k service interval. If you don't have one, you can check what is needed on www.lexus.com B)
  14. The mileage does not matter as long as you don't have any oil leaks to begin with. If you do, get them repaired before you switch to synthetic. Vehicles with higher milage might want to consider a 10W30 grade. I have 52,000 miles on mine & she doesen't burn a drop of Mobil 1 5W 30. B)
  15. I didn't think the "10's of millions" of K & N filters was out of the relm of possibility either. B)
  16. The conti is a nice looking tire & a very reasonable price.....I agree the Pilot Sport A/S were expensive, but to be honest with you, I put over 15,000 miles on them & never a problem at all.......best tire I ever had in the heavy rain too! B)
  17. Not a great performer in the winter either.
  18. Thanks kyle, it's 20% (medium charcoal shade) all around (the law states 35% for the two front windows, but I roll my windows if I see the police :whistles: It's not like the car stands out like a soar thumb anyways so I've never had a problem). I got it done at Tint King for $225.00 (canadian funds) and it's the top quality "metalized" scratch resistant.
  19. Agreed, they are hard to find in this neck of the woods too.....I lucked out with my 01 as it had the AVS feature & I enjoy it quite a lot. B)
  20. Just to clarify, the TRD air filters are made by K & N monarch?
  21. I agree with sk, I would do a complete 100% fluid change. Double check the owners manual for the correct type of fluid I think yours should be dexron II or III. If that's the case, you could use a synthetic tranny fluid such as Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.....a little more expensive but it will protect the transmission better. You also should clean the filter (it's re-usable so no need to replace) & replace the transmission pan gasket to avoid leaks down the road.
  22. Hi everyone, I finally got some pics of my ES on here B) Many thanks to steviej for his help & patience with me.....I owe you one my friend! :) The pics aren't fantastic (I plan to get some more with better overall colour) but they are before tint & after tint photo's & I think most will agree how much better the ES looks with a quality & classy looking tint :D BEFORE AFTER
  23. I'm sure they are. Have you tried your local auto parts chain? I'm courious to know as well.
  24. Perhaps you should contact K & N directly jragosta, & mention these (your) findings & let's see what K & N has to say about them....then maybe we can put this matter to bed B) :whistles: There are millions (if not 10's of millions) of these filters out there today & are you saying that all these owners are setting themselves up for masive sensor & major engine breakdowns? As I said before, if that was the case, they would go out of business! I'm very intested to see you give them YOUR findings & give them a chance to respond.
  25. thanks neo, yes I did post the same thing on CL :)
