  1. What year is your ES?
  2. Any idea what it would cost at the dealer?
  3. Agreed....do a little research on these & you might end up getting the whole assembly for a fraction of the cost compared to new at the dealer. Craigslist is another possibility. I don't know of many aftermarket cup holders that will fit an ES personally.
  4. Wow! 10k miles on dino oil.....very interesting. Kudos about the fuel economy. They are very nice rides. Got any pics?
  5. ohboiya.....is that price for both wheels & tires? What tire size do you need.....I might be able to help you out with at least the tires. Let me know. ;)
  6. ronalsk, how many miles on your IS?
  7. Post a pic.....I've owned 2 ES's....neither one had (or in my current case has) that button you mention.
  8. What tire size(s) do you need & are you going with all seasons, dedicated winter or summer rubber? I personally prefer the dealer to install my tires, but I do not buy tires at the dealer (too expensive)......go to a place like tire rack & have them delivered to your front door.....and bring them into the dealer for installation. Don't forget a 4 wheel alignment.
  9. I had a 2001 ES 300.....OE tire size was 205 60 16.....you sure that is the tire size you need? Just double checking.
  10. Why not run the question by the service manager at the Jag dealer....see what he says. You can always go with Castrol Syntec or Syntec blend if you want to stay under the Castrol umbrella. What are the drain intervals for your Jag anyways RX?
  11. Welcome saturation...about the tires....what size do you need & how much are you looking to spend? Are you looking for a good all round set of all seasons or dedicated winters?
  12. I'm curious what they charge for that? On an ES I think it's overkill.....unless they are doing it for free. I was by my dealership on my way into work this morning & was shooting the breeze with my service manager (over 30 years experience with high end vehicles, including BMW & Audi)....casually asked him if he would recommend that every tire rotation I have done....his response....."Oh good heavens no" not unless your curb hopping or driving into crater size potholes regularly. Perhaps the IS is different in that regard....but to each their own I guess.
  13. Might want to try sending a direct e-mail. ;)
  14. You get your tires balanced everytime you have them rotated? Unless your bouncing off curbs, that's overkill imo. I assume your tire pressures are correct?
  15. I think a set of mud flaps or mud guards would tarnish the ES's overall appearance quite honestly.
  16. I sold them to a member here back in late April of 08 for his LS400 (still have the spare though).
  17. I'd check the tire pressure first & go from there. How many miles on your 05 IS?
  18. not me, I recommend the complete replacement. steviej Another vote for the complete replacement here.
  19. Perhaps (depending on your mechanics evaluation) being a little more patient & wait for one that has all service records accounted for might be the way to go. The 97 ES is the first year issue of the 3rd generation ES....try to get the newest one you can afford. Watch out for the engine gel problem as well. Good luck.
  20. Just two sets my friend....my current ES 350's for my '3 seasons' & the IS 250 AWD for my winters. ;) Going with a set of Toyo Observe Garit KX (H speed rated) winters btw.....they are 'top shelf'. I put a set of Toyo Observe G-02+ on the Wife's Subi just before X-mas (I'm a romantic....I buy tires for her lol :P ) & they have been just awesome.
  21. Is the bulb replacement not mentioned in your owners manual?
  22. Agreed.....Jackson Toyota should be able to assist. Other than that.....your closest dealer would probably be Lexus of Richmond Hill....expensive, but a first class service facility.
  23. Exactly....and Lexus instructs folks to go 6 months or 5,000 miles between oil changes which alot of folks follow. ;) If they suggest this for their vehicle line up (including their Flagship) that works for me. I think across the pond....their oil change intervals in Europe are even much longer.
  24. Welcome to LOC bigfish....try using the search function in this thread....I'm sure this has been covered in the past with pictures.
  25. Stick with the 'pink' OE coolant.
