  1. No--correct pressures are labeled on a sticker in the driver's door jamb. 35F/37R. Sounds like they are working properly. Air pressure should't drop 10 psi in a few months...Set the pressure when the tires are cold (like first thing in the morning). Check it in a day or two..if its dropping..you picked up something in the tire like a nail, etc..
  2. When I had the TSB done, they didn't replace or cut the rotors..at first I was a bit upset..but since there isn't any pulsing or vibration in the pedal when braking, it tells me its ok...If there would have been, it would indicate warped/uneven rotors. So I am actually glad they didn't cut them..saving meat for when the pads get replaced when worn out...My car had about 13K miles when it was done which isn't much in the life of a brake pad. So don't get to upset if they don't cut the rotors...Replacing would be nice..but there really isn't any need to..so why should the dealer do it esp if its not part of the TSB. I anxiously await the pricing on the F Sport brakes..which might be fun to do
  3. It might be too late to change your storry but....complain about having too much brake dust on the rims of your front wheels. Lexus will replace the brake pads and rotors for free because they have a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that fixes excessive brake dust. It does not matter how many miles are on the vehicle but it also depends on the dealer as well. I don't think the TSIB covers the rotors..just the pads. However I have heard many dealers turn/resurface the rotors when the change the pads..but I don't think they are obliged to as part of the warranty work. Just about all cars now don't have much extra meat on the rotors..meaning they may only be able to be turned once..or perhaps not at all before they would fall below mfg specs. Are you getting quotes of $600 per rotor? I am assuming you are only talking about the fronts? Rears pads should wear forever as the fronts do 70% of the work. Ask the dealer what the minimum thickness is for the rotors..ask him what the current ones have now...if you still don't buy what he is saying..ask to see the measurement done by the technician.
  4. You might try techinfo.toyota.com It will cost you $10 to access and might not have what you want..but it might be woth it..rather than risk breaking something more expensive
  5. You are probably better off doing proper paint maintenance on a regular basis rather than investing in some sort of sealant. Check out places like Meguiar's for detaling info. I tend these are better for the dealer's bottom line than your car's surface. If you are considering a clear bra check out 503 Motoring im Beaverton. If you are going to do it, do it asap as the IS has soft paint and chips easily
  6. Does anybody know if the Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS) reset to original if you disconnect the battery? I can redo the owner settable ones but don't want to pay the dealer if the dealer only settings get reset Thanks
  7. http://www.aspecproducts.com/ I'd call as the website is a bit weak...
  8. How do you use this stuff? Do you have to tap into the A/C lines or does in go into the vents?
  9. The stock summer tires really do poorly in any amount of snow..Remember the little bit of snow we got last year in Portland??? After the second or third day when it was mostly cleared up I tried to drive my IS to to the gym..I got about 50 feet and got 'stuck'..meaning I couldn't get any traction at all...and the traction control wasn't helping either..It took me about 45 minutes to get back to the driveway..and took to guys pushing to get it over the driveway hump and into the garage...so morale of the story..if you plan on doing any snow driving at all (or think it may snow a bit when out and about) seriously consider some sort of A/S or snow tires.. I have about 10K left on my tires..I am going to seriously look at the High Performance A/S tires (Michelin or Goodyear). Fortunatley I have an old beater 93 Toyota PU that has four studded tires on extra wheels..so if it does snow..I put them on and am good to go
  10. Check with Logan at Aspec.com I got my Rezax II's from him..best price I found
