  1. Check this thread, I think you'll find an answer. Hope it will help. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55962 Good luck
  2. Try this link http://lexusbluetooth.letstalk.com/brands/lexus-bt/pdf/530_03Navi.pdf It should walk you through, I wish I had found this info sooner, it took me forever..... Have attached the file, hopefully... 530_03Navi.pdf
  3. Have you tried here yet? Maybe they can special order? http://irontoad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=LSC
  4. Thanks for the info on set up. I ended up calling Verizon and found someone willing to go the extra mile and help me out. I didn't know what the "send name card" was, but I do know. Thank you for responding. :)
  5. Hi, When you figure that out please let me know.. I too am having that problem. Spent hours yesterday reading both car and phone manuals. Finally got the connection together, but phone won't upload. I don't see anyway to manually enter contacts either. This car was given to me after my Dad passed, and OMG all the bells and whistles. Nothing like the RX300 I have. Still working out the Nag instructions..... Love this car. Hope you had success and can share. P
  6. Like Code58 said, use the search topic block "Ignition keys stuck RX300" Looks like the answer might be a hammer and screwdriver! Who would think...
  7. Hey Miracle, I have a 2002 RX300, 107K miles, and my gas mileage has dropped down to 13+, also these past few months. Since last May my commute has change to less than 5 miles, but I noticed the mileage change around late Nov/early Dec. I was going to try working on the MAF sensor after reading your situation, looks simple enough, but the weathers been working against me. I'm due for oil change, thought I might ask them to check it. Keep posting so I know how you make out.
  8. I have found this site to be very helpful. Replaced bulbs on driver side, and did it in the Auto Zone parking lot. Very easy. http://home.comcast.net/~rx300how2/tail_light_lamp.htm
  9. Did you clear the codes? I disconnected the neg battery cable for 5-10 minutes and that worked like a charm. Check the hose again, make sure it's clipped on.
  10. I had the same three codes, and it WAS the hose off the air filter box. Start there first.
  11. 2002 Rx300 with 106K. Car runs great and I haven't had any major issues. Oil change 3-5K, two tranny drain and fill, battery, tires, 2 sets of rotors and pads. The 1 major replacement I haven't done is the timing belt... Hoping to get to 112K, keeping the fingers crossed. Would like better gas mileage, but wouldn't we all like more for our money. Hoping the New Year is good to us all... P
  12. Have you checked the hose behind the air filter box? I had the same code come on after I had an oil change. They must have checked the air filter and in doing so the hose became disconnected from the small tube down behind the air filter box. You can do a search on po446 and see what others say. Good luck hope this helps. Let us know how you make out.
  13. Have you had your oil changed lately? Or replaced your air filter? Check the hose behind your air filter box. Sometimes that hose becomes disconnected and will through those codes. Also check your gas cap, make sure it's tight. I had the same thing and it was that hose, save me a ton of $$. I was told I needed to spend 1,000.00 to fix and I did it myself. Disconnect the battery to reset the codes. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
  14. You didn't say what you did to try and fix the problem. What did you do to reset the code? Did you disconnect the neg. battery cable?
  15. Same thing happend to me. I had an oil change and when they checked the air filter the hose popped off. I'd check the hose and see if it has come disconnected. :) Easy fix....
  16. I thought I would write a solution that worked for me. This relates to codes P1354 and P1349, related codes and symptoms. Code P1354 VVI Malfunction Bank 2. Bank 2 is closest to the radiator. Often called the left side. Resulting codes: Code: P0300 - Multiple random misfires Codes: P0302, P0304. P0306 - Cylinder misfire in cylinders 2, 4 and 6. Possible code also- Code: 1153 - AF/ sensor bank 2 sensor 1 OR Code P1349 VVI Malfunction Bank 1. Bank 1 the difficult side where the intake body is. Often called the right side. Code: P0300 - Multiple random misfires Codes: P0301, P0303. P0305 - Cylinder misfire in cylinders 1, 3 and 5. Code for A/F sensor as well. Driving symptoms: The check engine light may come on periodically and go off after some driving. You may attribute it to a poorly closed gas cap ( may be the problem). You may not notice any significant performance issues. At some point the idle may get rough due to the misfire, it may idle well when cold and become rough when warm. Ignore it and there may be a fish bite (jerk) at multiple speeds and revs. You may drive at a constant speed and the car cuts back and then revs up. The brakes seem to become hard as well since insufficiently vacuum is created at idle. Solution: The code print out from from the ECM will suggest checking electrical connections, sludge etc. The first thing is to panic, and think the coils may be the problem. If you car was running OK highly unlikely all three coils on one bank will suddenly develop go bad simultaneously. The code print out from from the ECM will suggest checking electrical connections, sludge etc. If it is sludge that is causing the OCV to stick, then you have a bigger problem to address. Remove the valve covers to see if there is sludge. You are luck if the electrical connections are a loose. More then likely, it is the Oil Control Valve (OCV). Being VVT, the intake valves stroke is determined by engine RPM and load through the ECM and sensors. This in turn regulates the OCV allowing more or less oil through to control the intake valve stroke. Replacing the OCV is an easy task. Start with taking of the plastic engine cover. I have attached some pictures. To remove the OCV, remove any obstructing pipes if you have to (I did not). Remove the electrical connector and 10mm head bolt. Rotate it to break the O ring seal pull it out. You may need a flat end screwdriver to pry it under from underneath the flange. Replace with a new one. Be careful not to mix the left and right sides. The one in the picture is bank 2, left. This may not be the solution for everyone but it worked. The OCV from the dealer is about $100 and 10 minutes to install. If you are close to http://www.twsparts.com/ they sell genuine Lexus parts ($80). http://www.parkplacetexas.com/DealershipHo...?DealershipID=5 has them online cheaper but you have to pay shipping. Hope this helps some out there. Maistran. -------------------- Thanks, Maistran I found this hope it helps.. You might want to do a search on the codes.
  17. Check the hose behind the air filter box. It sometimes comes loose if they checked your air filter. If that's not it, have an AutoZone or Car parts store read the code and then post here. You might want to check your gas cap also. If it's not on tight enough it'll throw a CEL. Keep us informed.
  18. I replaced my battery a year ago and don't think I had to recode anything. I also had a Honda and yes I did have to recode for battery change. I really don't remember doing with the RX300.
  19. Sorry to hear that. You might want to try this site, if you go to the bottom of the page you will see where you can file a complaint. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2007...settlement.html Good luck. Hope this helps. Pat
  20. Had the same thing happen. Check the hose behind the air filter box.(that was my problem). If that IS connected, then to Auto Zone and have the codes read, then come back and post, or do a search for those codes... Good luck and let us know how you make out. :0)
  21. Hi Darryl, I had the same thing happen CEL/VSC lights and mine was because of the hose off of the air filter was disconnected.(I have an 02 RX300). When you pop the hood, look right toward the side mirror and then down behind the air filter box. You should see a rubber hose. That should be placed over a metal tube. If it's already connected then you have to go to plan B. Did you get the codes read and what are they?
  22. Hey there, I have a 02 RX300 and I've have all my work done a Midas shop. I had new rotors and brakes done for $700.00. If you can do a DIY much cheaper, I couldn't. BUMMER... Check Irontoad.com if you can DIY. Good luck. Paticake
  23. I'm in Hunterdon too and I'm curious where you have your car serviced? I've have an 01 RX 300 with 74,000 on it. I have only done oil changes, trans. fluid change, and brakes at Midas. Looking @ James Toyota for timing belt. Have 93K on 02 Rx 300.
  24. You might want to do a search on the p0171 code. You'll find alot of info on this site and do the work you can then outsource. To clear code disconnect the battery cable for a few minutes. Best of luck and keep posting.
  25. WoW didn't realize that I didn't finish sentence. they quoted me about $900.00 for the belt. I will look into James for the service, just had another oil change and Midas pushed for another $800.00 for service. I guess everyone is hurting for money. My next project is to try and replace the "D" light. Thank for your info. ;)
