Just like 90LS400, my radio wasn't turning on except when hot. To repair it is like 100 bucks just for diagnose...
So i ordered one from replacementradios dot com for $100 and paid $30 for shipping to canada but even this one won't turn on.
Now i have 2 dead pioneer headunits looking pretty on the dresser and a hole in my dash and wallet.
so frustrated.... :cries: :cries:
Is something wrong with your transmission?
I have 180K on mine, never flushed. Only drain and fill a few times since new. Shifts like butter.
Like many, i change my own oil, takes under 15 minutes.
Factory paint is like 7 coats plus couple clear coats, very high quality. Maaco is ok. Better to keep it same color it came in when repainting.
Not a good idea to spend too much on a paint job. Diminishing returns and all...
Its usually something simple. You might have killed or disconnected one coil causing to run on four cyl.
or maybe put the spark wires on wrong. or blew a fuse.
Good thing now you know it was the alternator all along.
You dont need denso alternator and you don't need the dealer. You can get a nice alternator for under $200, put it in yourself or ask the alternator place.
PS never leave your car unattended at a place you don't trust. Get receipts for everything.

I like your attitude, don't let a few bad apples ruin your experience at LOC. As the saying goes: Empty cans make the most noise.
