  1. i dont think i have that button... where the outside mirror controls are... there is just that one knob and thats it... no on/off switch of any kind...
  2. i havent been able to find the on/off switch for the keyless remote the only thing in my car is a knob that adjusts the volume of the tone when keyless is activated or deactivated
  3. light might not show up again for awhile... but in the mean time you could be using up more gas since the o2 sensors might bebad or getting there
  4. oh i did try to reprogram the remote... i got to where the door locks cycles by itself.. then i was suppose to push the button... but nothing happened when i pushed the button.
  5. I went and got the AC expansion valve issue fixed. And now the keyless remote doesnt work. I had replaced the battery 2 weeks ago. Maybe the mechanices forgot to reconnect a wire? From what I saw, they were working behind the glovebox and the passenger side of the engine bay. Anyone know what could be the case?
  6. i change it about 2 years or 20k miles or so... i actually just had it done last week :) do you notice any problems with the shifting? any jerkiness?
  7. hydrogen still will not completely solve the need for oil. to get hydrogen, electricity is needed to break the oxygen from water molecules and currently we get much of our electricity from burning oil, natural gas, or coal. so hydrogen only moves the burning of petroleum from our cars back to the power plants. the need for oil will still be there unless we completely switch solar, wind or hydroelectric for our energy needs.
  8. your interest would be what you stated at 5.74% but if you were wondering your monthly payments, it would be $499.52 unless i punched in something wrong, lol
  9. i dont think that because the abs light is on your breaks will not work at all. but that the reason for abs breaks is so that your wheels dont lock up when you slam on your breaks, which allows you to stay in control of your car i think its fine right now if you drive around with the light on, but why would you want to turn it off with out first fixing it?
  10. maybe its your driving style? or maybe it is the gas you buy? but i think there is a difference..but im still trying to figure it out myself recently ive been putting in generic regular/87 octane gas and yesterday i actually noticed my engine felt a little rougher than before, when i switched back and forth from the different grades of generic gas. and i have a question if it use just the regular gas making it rougher..then i should have no major problems? but what else could cause engine to run rougher? i last changed my oil about 1000miles ago, and the other fluids is fine and no check engine light is on. -mike
  11. congrats on your first lexus! yeah..i have been wondering about putting mp3 playback ability in my car too but was too lazy and broke to figure it out hahahaha let us know if you figure out how
  12. hmm.. do you guys happen to know where i might find the cabin filter in a 95 ES? i think this might be related, but once in awhile, near the vents, i will find a fine layer of grit. could it be due to a lack of filter or a dirty filter? and where could i get a replacement if i need it? thanks
  13. I'm 21 No previous cars but i got my 95 es about 7 months ago haha
  14. After they use the metal lathe as mentioned by skperformance, they go back and use a circular sander to go over it again. i dont know if all mechanics do this.. but the one i goto does
  15. steviej how fast do your normally travel on the highway? is it flat highways?...or does it have hills?
