  1. How does a forum get started? New here.
  2. Does anyone know if these are normal/expected dealer service rates...seems very high. I guess with a Lexus, one can expect higher dealership service costs, but what is reasonable? The cost for the routine maintenance may be reasonable. What services did the dealer perform? Here's what I learned about having routine maintenance done at the dealer. The Lexus owners manual suggests maintenance for service intervals. My dealer has its own handbook that suggests services to be performed. It looks just like an official Lexus publication, but it has the dealer name on it. Guess what ?,there is a whole lot of recommended services that probably are not necessary. Anyway it suggests more services than Lexus. So I am careful to explain exactly what I want done and ask how much.
  3. That worked. thanks . I'm still trying to figure this thing out, but I am getting there. The Nav system is the last frontier for me as far as learning the ins and outs of this vehicle.
  4. Tried this on my 07 - RX 350 and it does NOT work :( Probably because your NavDVD is version 6.1. The override was moved in v6.1; we're still trying to find out where. Have a look at this Club Lexus post. SonarTech I just purchased a 2008 RX350. How do I tell which NavDVD version I have?
  5. The 2008 models are available with dealer install of Sirius Radio. Thats the route I went for an extra 800 bucks and it works great. No destruction at all.
  6. I believe they refer to it as a master key, but yes the dealer has its own key.
  7. I had the dealer throw these in for me on mine. It's a bit of a trademark for me: every car has/had them. A little disappointed they were not std equipment. I quite like them, although they aren't painted. They do keep the stuff off the car, to a degree. Haven't done a winter yet, which is where they really make a difference. But it's like any accessory; either you like them or you don't. For me, I like them. DIY is easy, but it's easier if they do it for you Thanks for the reply. I have them ordered via the internet. I'll do the install myself. I couldn't justify the cost the dealer wanted.
  8. I would check your states Lemon laws. I read them on line and it sounds like you have a good case for total reembursment.
  9. Read the contract again. Assuming he also signed the contract, does it say he received the total amount agreed on? If he allowed you to leave without paying but signed saying you did,(see where I'm heading?) I believe in doing what is right but you may have an upper hand here.
  10. I just got a 2008. Where is this light supposed to be? Just curious.
  11. I just purchased a 2008 RX350 and I was considering adding Mud Guards. Has anyone done this? If so are you pleased with the look and is it easy enough for a DIY install? Does anyone have any recomendations for an on line shopping site for OEM accessories for a 2008 RX350?
  12. I just purchased a 2008 RX350. A lot of folks, even the dealers, are not aware that Sirius Radio is available for the 2008 models. I paid 807.00 for dealer install. I am completely satisfied. I chose Sirius over XM because Sirius offers a lifetime subscription. Do the math and you will see it will pay for itself over time.
