  1. Most squeal while the brakes are applied is caused by metal contact. Although you have new rotors and pads there are a lot of metal on metal parts working in concert. All these metal parts should be cleaned and have brake grease applied very conservatively to all metal to metal contact points. I installed aftermarket drilled and slotted rotors on my 99 LS with ceramic pads and it is smooth and quiet. Also keep in mind the number one cause of warped rotors (the shaking of the steering wheel and brake pedal) is overtorqueing the lugnuts on the wheels. Good Luck JS
  2. Kind of late but just read this, believe it or not the number 1 cause of warped brake rotors is improperly torquing the lug nuts. My 99 LS calls for 76 ft lbs and all vehicles should be done in a cross pattern. There are untold hundreds of not so honest shops that will over torque lugs on purpose. The thing with the improper torque is; you don't get warped rotors right away, they typically will warp after a fairly hard stop which causes them to get good and hot. I'm not sure this is your cause but I'd have to agree that the master cylinder doesn't sound logical to me either. On the other hand frozen caliper pistons could cause it but typically you will notice the car pulling when you apply the brakes and believe it or not it will pull to the opposite side of the frozen caliper. Good Luck
  3. Not sure what the problem is but I just purchased a 99 LS400 during the daylight hours on a nice day only to find out after dark that the clock and pasenger side temp light do not work, also on a later day I found the rear window defoger does not work. My front cigarette lighter doesn't work either but I tested the voltage to the plug on the bottom of the lighter and it's getting battery voltage it's just not making it thru the cigarette lighter plug. Good luck and keep us posted.
