I change my oil and use 5w30 full synthetic oil each time, am I just wasting my money? I use my truck for everyday stop and go freeway traffic but I rarely drive it "hard". I think my fuel consumption is less with the full synthetic oil vs. the regular 5w30 oil. What do you guys n gals use? any comments or recommendations?

2000 rx300 with 115k miles, no major repairs nor damages! 1. timing belt replaced @ 100k miles 2. brakes replaced @ 80K+ miles (40% left on pads) 3. airfilter 4. 3 transmission fluid changes, no transmission problems... RX is great!! don't you just love quality built vehicles!!!!

wendell - great photo! What brand monitor are those? Did you install yourself? Any install tips? tushar - I think you and I are doing the same thing in parrallel. I've been asking in thread if the LX470 will fit. I think the spacing between the poles is larger than that of the RX330, but I haven't been able to confirm. Do you know what the headrest pole spacing of the RX330 is (wife took the RX for the long weekend)? ← the monitors are Alpine TME-m750(older version of TME-M770) I had a shop install the headrest monitors and re-apolster, but I wired most of everything myselft. Make sure you get a good contact (paint free) when grounding your wires or you will get this whistling noise when you accelerate. Sorry, I have not been inside the RX330 so I can't give you an answer for the pole sizes. What kind of system are you planning to get for your 330? I know you mentioned that you want to install headrests and visors, are you going to get a headunit with a dvd player/tv tuner built in for your monitors?

I saw a commercial on tv 3 years ago about a product preventing nicks and scratches for the front end of your car. The material is the same material used for tinting your windows but clear, you're not suppose to be able to tell that it's on your car. I guess it's like the "bra" but in the film like form. It prevents rocks and other debris from denting or chipping the paint on the front end of your car. I never heard about it again, anyone out there know what I'm talking about? maybe it was just crazy, or confused it with a different infomercial!!!! :D

What's the big deal with a coach edition, just wondering? I know the interior is suppose to be leather by coach. What else is different inside compared to non coach edition? Are there more gadgets offered, or just the luxury of bragging to your friends that you have the coach edition? B)

Are the instructions or manual that comes in with the HID packages easy to follow for a "MORON" like me?

I know I said that wash day is on sundays, but my schedule changes and get very busy at times. Sometimes I go for a month - a month and a half with out washing my car. There is a lot of construction around where I live, but I park it inside the garage all the time at home. Thanks for the feedback

LCDs for the visors are not that expensive($50 each). Make sure the people that will be installing your entertainment system know what they're doing. Do not drill any holes underneath the rear right passenger seat, the gas tank is below it. You also might want to watch them closely while installing your unit so you can see and figure out what they're doing incase something breaks later on down the line, you will have an idea on how to troubleshoot the problem before bringing it back. Let me know how it goes ;)

The only experience I had with Crown was requesting an email quote on a service price and never got an answer. FYI, I have bought two new Lexus automobiles from Riverside Lexus which is closer to you, and I've found them to be a pretty fair dealership. You're close to the Desert (Palm Springs) dealership as well. ← I bought my RX300 from Crown Lexus back in 2000. They were not very helpful, they were very pushy with their lease program. The sales associate kept suggesting that I should go for their lease program eventhough I mentioned to him that I drive all over town.

I have a '00 RX, and installed 3 screens(alpine) a dvd player(blaupunkt) and a tv tuner. The majority of the cost was getting the headrest redone after the monitor installation. Total cost is less than the factory entertainment system lexus offers, and it's only one overhead screen.

Hey endless, the dealer told me that I cannot install an aftermarket HID unit because of the daytime running lamps on my '00 RX300, is this true or did he just want me to buy from the dealer(almost $2000 :cries: )? thanks

1. Replacing your steering wheel may require you to disconnect your airbag... If you don't mind you can try buying a momo wheel... Everything works the same. Nothing has change expept the location of the factory screen. Radio, cd changer, cassette player all works normally. NO alteration of the dash or anything. My plan for the factory screen in the glove box is to replace it with smaller screen(if i ever find an adapter to fit)and hopefully install it somewhere outside the glove. :) What are your audio plans for your Lexus?
