how do i get rid of my GX

This problem is a serious problem, it is not just unpleasant...it is unbearable.

This problem is no problem with the AC filter (mine was changed) or, according to Lexus the AC converter valves, or the calalictic (sp?) convertor. They told me the smell is because I buy gas from Mobil or Shell. I'm sure my next door neighbor who is a VP at Mobil will be happy to hear that. My kids can NOT ride in the back of the GX for more than 20 minutes. We go to Redskin games...guess how long it takes us.

Where? I am looking for the Dealer Review (only) the one that used to have a star rating....maybe it used to be on a different LexusOwners webiste. One was able to look up dealer by state and see reviews and ratings.

Why are people reading my posts and not writiing back? I am very interested in knowing how you deal with your dealer when you have a problem

Has anyone out there ever used BBB to resolve problems, I'm not sure if I should go through BBB or a private/consumer avocate lawyer. Thanks. I feel so alone in my battle with Lexus.

I can't find the dealer review forum, how do I get to it?

What happens when Lexus buys back, dealer assists, or any other way they have about making a customer happy..what happens to those vehicles? I think I bought one that they knew had a problem, and not only did they not disclose it they acted like they had never heard of it before even though a TSB had been issued months before.

Dear Mojo, Thanks for the info, I asked the dealer to check the cat converter because I get the biggest smell going up or down hills. They checked it and said no problem, it is a fuel problem. Where I live in a 20 mile radius I have Shell and Mobil. The dealer said they don't have this problem in CA because the gas is better refined....I don't live in CA. I live in VA! I think, when I bought my GX, the salesman kept going on about how it was the Factory Reps vehicle(I took that to mean in good condition)that they already knew it had the smell problem. They changed the AC filter at 9k. The vehicle was bought at an auction in FL, when they cross state lines many laws don't apply. why did he have to make up lies? I am going after Lexus, the dealer and the salesman for Fraud. I 've been through the 800 Lexus, the dealer and the regional manager and have gotten no where. Now it is my time to play ball. Look for lots of postings from my screen name.

I have the smell and it is horrible. The last time we drove to a football game my son got out of the back and almost threw up. It happens everytime I go up or down a hill. The dealer and saleman have both lied by acting surprised that they had never heard of this before (when I first brought it in). Now they say they know about the problem but won't do anything. Not sure what my next step will be, any ideas out there?

Can a pre-owned Lexus be a Lemon? I'm having problems with my GX that they can't or won't fix. The sulpher smell is so bad that my kids refuse to ride in the back. The dealer told me "The Lemon laws don't even apply to you!" I never had even thoght of the lemon laws. And what about Lemon-Laundering?
