  1. I have the same problem. I saw some places that sell it new for $8. Looks like exactly what I need but Im not sure. Maybe Ill try to fix it myself.
  2. I heard Kaixen kits are good. I wouldnt go no higher than 6500K though. http://www.kaixen.co.kr/ hit english on the left to check out the site. If you need this kit I can find a place for you. Message me.
  3. Well my cousin went through a similar situation. She needed a car and was looking at a VW Beetle, BMW 3 series, Lexus ES300 and IS300. I told her that after owning a bunch of german cars, japanese cars usually last long with less problems. She wanted a smaller car and the ES300 was a bit big with a older person feel. My cousin is 29 and 5'5" so the got the IS300. I believe I found her a clean title 2002 IS300 w/32,000 miles for $18,900. She loves her car.
  4. You should really use 91 or higher octane. Your owners manual should say this and so does the gas cap area. You would get better gas mileage too. Im sure your car is retarding the timing as much as possible to compensate for the low octane gas. What you will notice with better gas is better response and power plus more fuel effenciency if you dont drive with a lead foot. :)
  5. Thats normal. As soon as it dries its ok to roll down. He just told you 5 days probably to be safe. $137 is a ok price. Ive had my windows tinted for less many times from hookups before. They can do better than that with lifetime warranty for 5 windows. The cheapest I ever got tint from was from the stereo shop that sponsored my other car. I brought my daily driver in and got 5 windows tinted and he only charged me $40 for parts. On the lifetime warranty card he put a higher amount. :)
  6. Maybe its your Catalytic converter. After some years Toyotas tend to have "lazy cats" where unless heated up they do not work properly. We run into this a lot in Cali since we have to go to smog tests. So basically you have to drive around a bit before getting a smog or else you fail. Lolz.
  7. I use a Navman iCN 530. Works really well. http://www.navman-store.com/usa/product_de...+GPS&id=123 I picked mine up for $350 shipped to me. Heres a pic.. i can take a better one if you like. I was actually taking a pic of the beam pattern in my new HID plug and play kit.
  8. Thanks for the pics! Hmm I think it looks nice without caps. I wonder how it looks on a SC without caps.
  9. Couldnt have said it better myself. How much does this rim weigh?
  10. I dont use bosch plugs anymore because something happened before, i forget what. I use NGK now and am happy with it. For my SC300 Im going to get NGK plug wires #TE120 $61.87 NGK IX Iridium #BKR5EIX-11 $6.95 You can order it at: www.ngk.com which I think links out to www.sparkplugs.com I normally get things at www.importrp.com but didnt see it listed so I emailed them. Lets see who is cheaper and Im going to order from them. Hopefully Ill get some better gas mileage a bit more responsive power. :)
  11. I have a smell during startup. Im gonna change my plugs and wires and see if that helps. My buddy thinks I have a lazy cat and I should replace them if I want it to go away. I dunno.
  12. Can you take a pic of your car without the center pieces on? Im curious how that would look.
  13. I also think half might be ok but can you try putting a pic of half tinting the other half?
