  1. tires.suspension.transmission. and EVERYTHING in between.
  2. The starter going is more of whether it works or not. MEaning if it cranks it cranks, and if all it does is "click" its done. in my experience
  3. I don't think you *need* upgraded brakes. Unless you've already done suspension and other performance-minded upgrades a big-brake kit I think would be silly. I just spent $200 and did the fronts by myself. When you've got the original spec equipment at top form you don't need much more. IMO
  4. I love my ES300 for floating around town. Then I pop the tops off my MR2 and DRIVE around town. Can't beat Toyotas. :)
  5. 1) Either it's the sub or the "mid" speakers in the door trying to boast too much bass therefore distorting the sound or they've been torn. easiest way to decide whats busted is use the bass knob with fade\balance adjustments to figure out which speaker is making the noise (will need to be replaced, no real fix). 2) Dont know how you can tell, but it is okay to mix the two if they used synthetic. 3) Get a flashlight and crawl under your dash by your pedals. I would assume that there may jsut be some linkage on the cabin side that needs to be adjusted\lubricated. I could be wrong, but I'd check that. 4) Your master key will be the master key no matter what (im pretty sure) adding other keys should not affect it, thought Im no expert in the key dept. 5) Never done it but I think you needa special tool and to be very careful with the airbag as to not deploy it. Ive taken the easy way out and covered it for now. Sorry I cant be more help - I did what I could tho :)
  6. I think its something called the ABS speed sensor. Something along those lines that initializing the ABS incorrectly.
  7. I don't know about the sound coming from the struts. If it is LOUD, im sure its abnormal, but as for making some kind of noise (slight) i bet is normal. About the stiffness of the ride I think you might be used to the old, worn struts you just replaced with brand new ones. My 2 cents. Sorry I couldnt help more :)
  8. Hello everyone, Im about to purchase a 2000 ES300 (Silver\Black). I am no noob to Toyotasand Lexus (I own an MR2) - But there is something that has stumped me. While combing through the car, I noticed three buttons on the drivers side sun visor, each with its own green light. Is this a part of an option that I have could not find? Ive looked and searched but have not found an answer. Any help would be appreciated. > Andrew
