  1. They make a harness here: http://www.quickconnectproducts.com I just purchased the Parrot, unfortunately for my 2004 ES330 I have no idea what wires are what on the factory radio plug. Does anyone have any information on the 2004 ES330 radio wiring diagram? I basically need to know the following: What are the colors for the following items: 1. Front and rear speakers, both +/- 2. Radio Mute I don't have the Lexmark radio, just the standard factory radio. Am I correct that on this radio there is NO external AMP. Meaning the wires coming out of the wiring harness are direct to the radio. PLEASE HELP! Attached is a wiring diagram for the standard single CD 2004 ES330 audio system. Parrot sells an inexpensive external speaker for their phone kits if you don't want to tap into the door speakers. You can also use a Nokia or similar speaker. Using an external speaker can simplify the install but plenty of people tap into a door speaker. IMO, using a piggyback fuse connector at the underdash fusebox is the easiest way to power a phone kit.
  2. 330 gone, You are in a unique position to get to compare vehicles over an extended period of time. You make some good points, yet I personally put the two cars in the same class - "non off-road, luxury, mid sized, car-like SUV's". But if I had an RX and FX parked outside each morning I think I'd pick the FX regularly. That's what makes the world go round I suppose. I've owned a couple of Z's and Maximas and I agree - great engineering. I also currently own a RAV4 and I love its simplicity and handling too. Two cars ago I had a Porsche 996 which I sold to get a Mercedes 430CLK cab. I sold the Mercedes to get the FX and I think I'm through with Mercedes and Porsches for good. Too much money for too mediocre a package. The Japanese cars are so darn good and pretty trouble free considering all the gadgetry. SWO3ES - the interior is called Willow - kind of a beige leather. Here is a link to some more pics with some interior shots: http://www.infinitifx.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=95
  3. Hi. The price was right through Longo Internet sales, but they didn't have a loaded AWD vehicle in a light color. In fact no one did when I called around. I then test drove an Infiniti FX35 and loved the way it drove. I wound up getting it -see pic. I know, heresy, but the handling and performance was definitely sportier on the FX. It doesn't have the plush interior with wood steering wheel, but the engine sound, cornering and shifting was a lot more aggressive. The thing that had me a tiny bit bummed about the RX was that the transmission didn't seem to know which gear to go into after an agressive turn. The FX excels is this department. Anyway, don't look down if you can't stand the styling of an FX :) Best regards and thanks to all for the comraderie on this board, Howard
  4. Cole - Sounds like a sharp car and a very good price. I'm working with Elizabeth at Longo (highly recommended) and she is hunting for a 4WD version of what you got - but without the badges. MSRP will be $46858 on that car and discount is very good too. Unfortunately, 4WD cars are rare in S. Calif and non-existant in SD. My kids like to ski in Big Bear and I figured I'd go for the 4WD. Haven't test drove one of those yet, however. Enjoy you car! SDGuy
  5. Sounds like up to 10% off MSRP is actually possible then. Can anyone PM me with a S. Calif dealer/salesperson to contact? Thanks! SDGuy
  6. Jerry, very cool. Is that is a full wood kit you have there? Sorry to others for being so far off topic. I've got a IC746 and Cushcraft R8 at the house, but nothing in the car. You must know your stuff if you can work on the current Icoms - quite an exercise in miniaturization. The last radios I could repair were Heathkits :) SDGuy.
  7. Thanks for posting the pics and the cellport link. Jerry, your car is very sharp indeed. Now I want a pic of your IC756Pro mounted in your dash! What kind of antenna is that on your back lid? 73, SDGuy
  8. Jerry - Your car sounds nice. Can you post a pic or link? I haven't seen the Waag or tube steps on an RX330. BTW, is the cellport phone a Lexus option? How does it work? Thanks, SDGuy
  9. coleRX, Hey thanks. Didn't expect a reply from someone right here in San Diego. Glad you like the ML audio. I saw the car at the Autoshow and it reminds me of my current RAV4 - only every feature is so much more luxurious in the Lexus. I'm going to test drive later in the week - hope it has the same fun driving and cornering feel as the smaller RAV. I also like the GX470, but it seems like a lot of people report problems with the GX470 - and everyone seems to love the RX330. I'm looking for the same options as you but do want the AWD since we go to Big Bear a lot. I'd also prefer a Japanese build if that is still possible. Howard
  10. I'm considering an RX330 purchase and I've tried to "Build Your Own" on the US Lexus site. I am not offered the ML audio system. Does anyone know the reason? Is this option not available in certain regions? Thanks, SDGuy
