  1. The antenna length depends on the frequency, at 88mhz it have to be 86 cm at 107mhz it have to be 70 cm Lexus adjust the antenna length automatically. If you program your stations other, the length changes with the frequency not the preset button. The higher the frequency the shorter the antenna length. (look at the short cellphone antenna's =900mhz) Car antenna's are quarter wavelength antenna's ... they told me... B) GReeTZ Willem
  2. They have to sue Kelly's blue book and other automotive guides. For sure Toyota's are more valuable now. They have good throttles now. Cant say that about other carmakers.... :P
  3. Buy (or try) a new car battery for the clock problem. The drive light is probably only broken. I left it broken, no green light when driving in the dark... dont know if you can fix it yourself, but if you can find it, replace it with a led bulb. Thy last longer.. GReeTZ Willem
  4. Hold the "UP" button (not "open") down for several seconds (like 10-15) - it will go thru a routine of tilting open>>then closing>> then fully opening all the way. supposedly this resets the sunroof settings. [i'm pretty sure it was the "up" button, if that doesn't work then try holding down the "open" button] found this searching "sunroof" in the forum.... greetz Willem
  5. Clear the DTC. The following actions will erase the DTCs and freezed frame data. (Operating the hand–held tester to erase the codes. )(See the hand–held tester’s instruction book for operating instructions.) OR >>>>>Disconnecting the battery terminals or EFI fuse.<<<<< EFI fuse (20-amp) from junction block, located in left side of engine compartment Disconnecting the battery wil erease radio etc. settings to, but pulling the EFI fuse and leave it out for 30 secs. or so wil do the job to. But ... some codes are two-trip detection logic code(s). (the engine had to warm up two times and sometimes the revs have to be more than 3000. Driving for a week not so fast ,no light on but going faster and the light wil come on. GReeTZ Willem and there is also a data field called "distance with MIL on" (mil is malfunction indicator lamp). The dealer can read this data, so do not say "it just came on for 5 minutes or so". Pulling the efi fuse (under the hood) wil erase these data also.
  6. maybe faulty mass connection... Don't connect an extra mass wire but measure first. If there is 12v one bothe sides of a lamp there is no ground... grtx Willem
  7. l.s., My dealer told me that some sensors are "two trip sensors" the failue has to occure twice (after cooling down and heating up the engine) and the engine rpm has to be more than 3000 rpm for a wile.... so pulling the fuse wil not always work.. for a wile but not always... grtx Willem
  8. Hello Roger, I bought a bluetooth scantool (http://www.ebil.dk) and i use it with a Nokia e60 and a java program. While driving i can see all kind of things like speed / temperature / load / fuel trims etc. It is also possible to send data to there server so you can later see it in a web browser. AND you can reset the "check engine light" and error codes I used it in a new loaner from the dealer and there was even more data (how many times the engine has warmed up) It was expencive but also a lot of fun while driving. The speedo meter on the scantool program is almost 100% perfect. The car speedo is of for 10 km/h when driving 100 km/h gtrx Willem 2000 rx300
