  1. After my 15K service, I noticed a bumpier ride than before the tires were rotated. I returned the car to the dealership, and the diagnostician said that it looked like I will soon be needing tires. (I have faithfully brought in the car for the 5, 10, and 15K services). He claims that Lexus RX350 uses high performance tires, and 15 to 20K is all you can expect. Does this sound right? He also said he would recommend putting better tires, like Michelins, on the car. I replied, "you mean the Goodyears that Lexus put on, aren't so good?"
  2. Your charge was about what I paid for my '07 for the 10K. I just did the 15K, and paid about $250. I am not terribly pleased with my local dealer, they don't give loaners unless the work will be over 2 hours. In Dallas you always get a loaner, regardless of time, if requested. Not so in Palm Beach.
  3. I recently had the same experience, and I was nowhere near a Lexus dealer. I took the car to a tire dealer, and they checked the tires and they were perfect. The light later went off. When I was near the Lexus dealer, I stopped in and they said it must have been a fluke, as they couldn't find anything wrong. Hope this isn't going to be a continuing issue!
  4. I also had the dealer install satellite radio. I was very disappointed in the look of the antennae. Instead of a clamshell or something upscale looking, I have a little antennae next to the regular, dealer installed antennae. I feel the installation looks cheap and like something you would expect from Circuit City. For over $700 I expected better. I wrote to Lexus about my disappointment, and didn't even receive a reply.
  5. In South Florida, there is a lot of competition between Lexus dealers. We paid $1200 below invoice. The first dealer we visited offered us $1000 over invoice. My husband, who had just gotten an Acura below invoice, called Ft. Lauderdale, (one of the World's Largest dealers...so they say...), and told them he was ready to buy a car that day, if he could get it below invoice....they offered the $1200 below invoice, and we got the car that day. If you know exactly what the dealer paid (www.edmunds.com), you can intelligently deal. It's best if you have done your homework. I guess we are lucky to live in such an area rich in Lexus dealers and competition.
  6. Hi, I had the XM radio installed on my new '07 RX350. For those of you who don't know, the car has a spot in the radio lineup for XM, and after the install, it becomes functional. A major disappointment is that instead of a clamshell to hide the satellite wires, there is a little antennae that looks like it was installed by a do -it -yourselfer...or perhaps from Circuit City...For the $750 I paid, I would expect Lexus would have an attractive installation, which would seamlessly fit in with the car. I have heard the new models will have a clamshell or some other type of installation which doesn't look "aftermarket". Can't Lexus find a way to go back and make this right. If I knew it would look this bad, I would have had it done for less than half the price elsewhere!! This is the only experience I have had that is in the slightest bit "negative"...I love my car, and the service I have received.
